    Its still good and relevant. It really depends what kind of work you do on top of that though as to if its going to work or not...

    I think a link exchange is like a syndicated group where the link of your website is shared for everyone’s benefit. The idea is like a cross link where your link is shared by another website owner while you also share his link. The principle of scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours is still working. And with the usefulness to the website, I guess it is somehow useful since your link is there for everyone in the group to use.
