What does it mean, Yea?

I know what it mean in general, but in the context of the Gig what does it mean?

It means your client can download the product or service immediately after payment.

Instant download means in gig if any buyer buy your service like software or other package service you can add it in your gig and buyer can get service instantly from you. Even if you offline.

Example: I have a service providing software, After a buyer buys my service they will be able to download the files as soon as they press order('easier work for the seller and buyer doesn't need to wait')

That is what I call hitting two birds with one stone!
