It really depends on what you mean by article marketing. If you are talking about blogging and content creation, then yes. Having a larger content library on an active website can and will boost your website's rank. Also, guest blogging on quality sites can produce valuable links to your content, which will also boost SEO. However, there are some article marketing practice that just doesn't work. Back in the day, you could write for an article distribution service that could get your article posted on dozens and potentially hundreds of websites hungry for content. That kind of thing no longer works, not for you or the website that republishes your work.

What exactly is article marketing? Can anyone explain the details of how to do it? My idea of article marketing is to write articles and sell it. Am I right on my assumption? How about if the articles are posted in another website and it contains the authorship like a profile that contains signature then it can be considered a backlink.
