That it is useless unimportant and uninteresting to the end user and therefore it'll demoted if anything. Meanwhile, if 20 people share your post or link, and each of those 20 posts results in 10 likes, 3 shares and a few comments each, (20 shares bringing 260 engagements) even even much smaller number total actions, the higher per capita engagement would actually be a strong signal of relevancy as interpreted by Google and Bing.
