Is freelancing your sole source of income?

There are people that have decided that their online work will always act like a side hustle as they have a nice offline work that pays them better. I am the person that is always mixing the income that I make online with what I earn offline and it has been awesome for me.

Do you solely depend on online earnings as source of income?

No, it's not. But it's an excellent source of extra income, which helps out quite a lot.
It's great that nowadays freelancing is a popular thing, moreover, when you live outside of Europe and US. These extra bucks daily can really help you out.

Am sorely planning o go into freelancing. Recently I resigned from my job and want to full work as a freelancer. If anybody has good Ideas I can use them better.

Wow, that's inspiring. I would love to do that as well, but I didn't realize that you can make sustainable income of it permanently. Can you please share with me where do you work exactly?

I've heard of some people in places like South East Asia being able to survive solely off freelancing gigs which is fantastic! I do hope that freelancing grows worldwide year after year. It certainly gives a lot of us the freedom to set our own work hours and live our best lives.

I agree with this. I also use some of my time with freelancing jobs but it wasn't too often. If I only got some extra time or nothing to do much then that is the only time that I would do some freelancing. I am earning while I am enjoying what I am doing with just my free time and it helps me a lot.

When I started freelancing, I did it as a part time job option. Then, I noticed freelancing offered me the chance to have a better schedule, something that I can control instead of begging for days off at the office. So nowadays, freelancing is giving the bigger part of my income, but I still like to take offers from my regular job. I would love to do just freelancing, but that requires a better earning platform for me.

You seem to be doing quite good in freelancing. It will make two of us. I want to work online full time.

Thanks. Certainly I can't complain about it, but I would like to find more platforms. Currently, is getting kind of monotony, so I would like to find something more related to health/medical field, so I could eventually work online full time.

As of now yes, freelancing online is my source of income. I don't have any plan yet about working offline but I think it's also good to work outside. I am practical so basically I make myself earn online.

If you make good money on freelancing then it is better. It is bad if the money is low. It may end you up and begging.

I have began writing eBooks. The Lonely Stones by Meshack Bwoyele Keya is my first and second books published on Amazon

I have began coupling freelancing with farming. Horticulture can be really paying. So that and loyalties from books will help me out.

It's not my sole source of income since I have a day job. I only have a few freelance job and have small earnings. But, i am thankful for the chance that I was able to land a scam free job. I am still hoping that I can still find another additional freelance work. This is a great help to augment income to support my needs.

This is the important aspect of having a scam free jobs at least even if one is offered peanuts but at the end if the day one gets paid than promising big but end up not being paid.

Yes, I am happy to find a legitimate company. It's difficult to seek employment whether online or offline. It's always a blessing that I will forever be grateful for this opportunity. I look forward to have more peanuts and hoping I'll end with a good peanut butter taste.

I've read about a person who had freelancing as his part time job, which actually brought to him more profit than the actual one. I was surprised to the limits. When I asked him why didn't he quit his main job, he answered that he doesn't feel comfortable about it. Don't know why.

It's actually great that freelance jobs exist. I know a lot of full-time workers who still resort to different things like selling food or products personally to earn extra income. I'm glad that freelance jobs online reduces the stress to go around just to earn extra.

Yes, it does contribute great help in our pocket. Our earning is not always enough for our daily needs. We need to find extra to sustain it. Plus, having freelance online job is another added experience in the field of employment. It's good to try and learn from it.

No, it's not. But, I'm glad that I'm earning well from this. I only work on my free time and make sure that I am able to do a specific task before my free time ends.

Being able to have multiple income streams is a great thing. If you enjoy your other work outside of freelancing I think it's just more options to earn - and that's such a wonderful thing for your own financial freedom.

For now it isn't my sole source of income though I have been thinking along that line but the offers online is so minimal maybe because I'm not in a better country like those in Canada,US and maybe UK. But by and large if I'm given the opportunity to work on better sites I will gladly jump on it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Alymae
Yes. Those who live in this countries have better opportunities than us. Sometimes I envy them when they post about sites that give a high salary and find out that it is available in the U.S only. I hope that more of this sites will be offered here in the Philippines.

It's just so sad that there are those countries with amazing people but are given less opportunities. Anyway, there are still a lot of ways to earn and for that, we just have to be thankful.

I have a small part time job (which I can do mostly from home) and the rest is freelancing. I'd like to be earning more but with two young children it's hard to take on a full time job with my husband working full time himself. I'm just grateful there are freelancing options out there and the ability to often work from home.

I have a day job so freelancing is a side hustle.Sometimes I wish I could work indoors as this allows freedom and being my own boss. The only hindrance is that I've not had a steady flow of freelance jobs. The day I'll atart having a steady income from freelancing I'll surely quit my day job.

As of this moment freelancing is the only work I have since I'm currently unemployed. To be honest, money from my freelance is not enough to sustain for my daily needs that's why I trying my best to find a job.

Like many here, I would like to quit my day job and earn most of my income on the net.

I've tried freelancing but it didn't make me much money which is why I'm more interested in online marketing right now. I'll be focusing more on selling ebooks and though I'll probably write one or two in a year I'd still earn money as an affiliate promoting other people's ebooks on my blog.

I am the same too. Both my offline and online jobs provide me a good income. I love doing both. I like the flexibility of online work and I like the stability of offline jobs. I like that I can earn money even if I am on a day off from my regular job.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Also, the fact that there's a change of the nature of the work is actually fun. It'd be boring to work on the same stuff for like the whole day and even in your free time.

Right now yes. I'm working as a part time freelancer and it's my only source of income since I retired last year from being a building contractor. I saved some money and I do have some investments that would help provide for my family. Since December of last year I've been concentrating in online freelance work.

The good thing about online freelancing is you are free to wear whatever you want, do whatever you want and feel whatever you want while working. It's the advantage that it brings, to be able to advoid traffic and enjoy being at home is also the comfort that assures those who are working in this field.

Honestly, a lot of my income depends on the current condition of the online climate. Much like certain trends, business opportunities come and go. For a period of a few months I might make money doing a specific kind of work, then all of a sudden, my work opportunities might drop off and I’ll have to switch to the next big popular thing that comes along.

It’s just the way things are when you’re a starting freelancer and trying to establish a foothold in the industry. I’m hoping to get more stable work as I gain a reputation and create a convincing enough portfolio that could land me work more consistently. For now, I basically just take whatever comes my way.

That sounds like me. I do what ever comes before me, from writing articles and ebooks to clients to posting on forums, working on micro job sites, domain flipping, website flipping, blogging, running websites etc. Cents build up to make a dollar and dollars continue to build up. Currently, my only hope to establish stable income source is by building up revenue on my websites.

Freelancing is one of the best way of earning some cash with your own time. I have my full time work of 8 hours a day and when I have free time like traveling from home going to my workplace or vice versa. It was the only time I would do some freelancing jobs. I am also looking for some other freelancing jobs in using just my mobile phone because I don't have much time infront of my PC or laptop but I don't have much knowledge about the other freelancing jobs.

I was blessed to be a freelancer. Freelance writing gives me an extra source of income. Freelance writing gives me enough for an extra income but it wasn't my sole source of income. I have several source of income like home based tutorial, events organizing, events hosting, invitation making and booklets making. However, all these stuff are just my sidelines because my mainline is my ministry. As a future Pastor my priority is my calling from the Lord. Nothing is more important to me than to serve Him.

I am in the process of starting a business, so for now freelancing is my main source of income. Freelancing is the real hustling. It is not steady work you never know when you will have work and you don't have constant work. For now this is my main source of income and I can tell you that it is not easy, however I hope it will get better.

Yes. At present, freelancing is MY only source of income. Fortunately, I have good children who help me pay the real bills so that I am not homeless and on the streets. There are personal private reasons why I am working from home, freelancing. But I thank the Lord there was a means provided for me to be able to do something at home.

I am a full time freelancer, I earn my living by doing various things. Since the living cost is comparatively low, the money I earn in USD converts well in my home country, that's the reason why I have been able to survive on freelancing income since 2012.

Honestly I have an offline job and I am working as a full time employee of particular company, and I really like to work as a freelancer during my vacant time since it is already a big help for me to pay for my monthly bills. I mainly treat for now my freelancing activities as my source of extra income since I am not earning from it an amount which is similar to my offline work. Maybe if it can give me a good pay that would give me a good living then I might depend on it in the future and quit my offline work but for now I don't see any reason to do that.

Is freelancing your sole source of income: In my case freelancing was not enough to be our source of income because what i can do in freelancing is limited and I am not really focus on it. I usually do freelancing during my free time after making household stuffs or when I want to interact with someone.

Apart from generating income from freelancing jobs, I am also on a number of paid to post sites where I generate decent money. I also run a handful of blogs and websites that generate revenue. I do not have a day time job.

I think it is not a wise option to just depend our living or income on freelancing activities as it is very unpredictable because there will be some days that we will earn more but sometimes there are also some days that we end up earning nothing. Aside from that, there is no assurance on how long we will be earning since our clients or companies that we are working for might shutdown or not anymore accept us which would makes our freelancing g jobs more complicated. It is really better if we will have some offline work so that we can have some back up plan whenever we experiences some difficulties in our freelancing jobs.

No, Freelancing is not a single source of income in my case. I work as a partner in a traditional Family business along with Freelancing. I would definitely like to increase my Freelancing work in the next year. Its always better to have multiple sources of income to be financially secured in your life.

It is my sole source of income, currently. My parents are helping me, but as far as we talk about money I earned, freelancing is my only source of income. The income is just fine and can cover some extra expenses that I can not cover with money my parents send me. And it is not stressful as many other jobs are. You work from your home whenever you want to, simple as that!

Yes it's my full time job, I don't wanna be in a 9-5 jobs in a cubicle doing the same thing over and over again and underpaid for the rest of my life, to me that's what makes life miserable and boring, you're not paid enough for your skills and you get these bonuses or life insurance to make sure you'd stick around, they never care about you they care about you being able to do your job.

I am glad that my answer to the title of the discussion is a big no because if freelancing is my main source of income then I will surely go hungry from time to time. Freelancing is not an easy way to earn money and I have a vast experience for more than 3 years. But maybe I am not on the right track because I know that there are freelancers who earn a lot of money by doing multiple kinds of work.

Yes, for me this is my sole source of income. I do freelancing. I'm doing almost everything as long as I can do it. It's fun because you get to manage your own time and you are free. The only thing is that it takes a lot of discipline. You have to be disciplined or else you won't be able to earn that much. Learn to value time and spend your time wisely to accomplish more and be able to earn more too.

I earn a lot before with office works but I am not happy because of what I had experienced. I am glad that I was able to find an alternative and that is freelancing. Doing job online in more convenient for me and my time. I am able to earn money while staying at the comfort of my home. I am just starting at this kind of job so my income is not that good compared to my past jobs but the most important thing is that I am glad at what I am doing and at the same time I am earning.

Nope. It's not a stable source of income especially for beginners and I'm one of those people so I have a day job and just do freelancing when I get home. People can call this "overworking" or taking things too seriously but honestly, I don't have anything else to do, it's better to earn more by freelancing instead of not earning anything but browsing on social media.

I don't solely rely on my freelancer job. I have an 8- 5 job which gives me a regular earning. Matter of fact is that I mixed the two together. It feels good to have an extra earning aside from the regular pay. It helps me to add more to my saving and I can have more for my family.

As of now the freelancing is not the sole income for me. But I want to make sure to have enough gigs in the 2019. That I don't end up struggling month to month with the freelancing. So another thing to consider is that income needs to be consistent. I may have to work harder on that note. You can see that many freelancers are not much considering that approach as of now. But having more gigs is the only way for financial freedom for anyone who is freelancer.
