Multiple Niche Websites VS Single Multi-Niche Website

I am maintaining multiple websites for many years by now and yet i never get right answer for my self, what could be better, to build multiple websites for each niche or to build one website with multiple niches... ????

In some way after years of testing, having single niche website is GOOD and it convert well  but i am the man with wider knowledge and many passion and interests, so i wanted to work on many different niches, then i started building blogs for each niche. But time after time, it's hard to be consistent on every single blog and post regularely, plus it requires more hosting space and involving more expenses. To be honest, expenses is to high for some niches and it's very time consuming, so i can't keep up with all that work in order to keep it consistent.

Website with multiple niches seams to not convert so good as single niche website, but it's much easier to work with, all in one place, one set of ads, one woocommerce store etc etc...

I would like to know if some of you tried this to option and how it's working for you, or what's you thoughts regarding this matter? Please share your experience!

I have 10 websites, someone these websites are single niche and some are multiple niche. Based on my experience, I think multiple niches is a better option.
If you have single niche based multiple websites, it will be very difficult to maintain these websites (publish new contents frequently, do seo and market them). While on the other hand, if you have multiple niche website, you can publish anything you want and it will be easier to maintain one website.

My question is why the need for multiple websites when you have only 1 niche? It is better to have 1 website and focus all your attention and effort to it. Even in having 10 websites like you I think that is too much of a burden to the mind because it is tedious to think of 10 websites that you are maintaining much more to think that there are 10 niches that you are thinking of.

Hello

The idea is good but much more complicated than you thought and very hard to achieve.

The better advice is always to focus on one website and see how you are going to work things around with it. Trying to make things diverse may end up not giving you the result that you really ask for. So, it is okay to make adjustments on things.

One of the benefits of building single niche based websites is you can offer backlinking services (because you can give backlinks from multiple websites). Secondly, driving traffic is easier because you know where to target your marketing campaign. Multiple niche is good for online magazines and ezine.

Yes too many topics and the niche does not help much. Plus the amount of time it takes for multiple niches is not good idea either. I prefer to do the single niche at a time. And hopefully things can be easier that way. Another thing is that SEO would be easier with single niche.

I think it's better to have a website that focuses on a single niche. This way, it would be easier for the users or visitors to associate your website to a single topic or subject. If you try making a multiple niche website, you'll have a hard time creating content because your site covers a lot. It will look like a jack of all trades and master of none.

Thanks for your opinion. And you are very much wright in your last sentence Multiple Niche Websites VS Single Multi-Niche Website I agree absolutely that is better to do one thing or one niche best you can, then doing many below average. But also, yeah i have expertized in at list 3-4 niches, while i could do even more. The thing is i can't advertise my SEO services on recipes and cooking tips blog, or vice-versa, but i would still try to run multiple niches...

Unlike a majority of my friends on this platform, I think that the idea of running multiple websites is good. I am an individual that loves versatility and diversification. when you have a diverse reach on several platforms your revenue streams are numerous and as such will never run dry. To make it succeed I think that you need to a team with an individual heading each platform where your role will be oversight only.

I actually think the same too. It's like you wabt to, create a "brand" but you are jumping on to different products which make the customers confused and might forget you, especially when you are starting.

Ugh, this is tough - because I really think it depends on exactly what your niche might be. For instance, sites like Buzzfeed for instance cover so many topics, but they have a broad overall concept and target market. I can't say exactly whether single niche or multi niche is better until I'd know what your area of expertise is and what your target customer base is.

Well, BuzzFeed is a multiniche website, but it's large social network with thousands of members and contributors. I wouldn't mind running something like that either Multiple Niche Websites VS Single Multi-Niche Website but there is need of large investments, especially on hosting expenses etc... Niches i expertized are SEO, SMM, music, cooking, and link directory, so doesn't see they would go all in one website, but maintaining many websites are the problem...

I think single niche is easier to do SEO with. Having more than one niche makes it a bit harder to do away with the content. I personally prefer to have single niche website. So on that note I'd say multiple niche website can be made. But do what you want to do best because you can never have too much diverse control over the things. Also single niche focus is much easier too.

I also advocate for single niche websites. I have just recently to work on my online marketing career. They are so many things you can do it is all so confusing. However I think that you have to choose one. If you work on multiple things I think that you don't provide as much detail because you have no time to do one thing successfully. In terms of a website if you have multiple niches on one website I think that it will affect the audience you attract. When I'm looking for something I want an expert, which is someone who deals in one area.

Single Niche Websites are more successful than Multi Niche Websites because people tends to think that they can get more relevant information from a site that specializes in a specific niche. While if you have a lot of single niche websites the problem would be getting or creating material to post on said niches regularly. In my opinion concentrating in just 2 single niche sites is doable but more than that you need to do delegate the work to someone else or outsource it.

I am not an expert on this. IMHO, I think you can always be a jack of all trades. However, if you are not a specialist in anything, it would seem like you are a player who does not know his role in the game. So I vote for multiple niche websites - having their very own webpage per niche.

I think multi-niche or single-niche websites have their own advantages. It will depend on you if how you want to manage your website. Having a single niche website means all of your focus is on one website only and I find it easier to manage. But the good thing about having multiple-niche is that it can offer more revenue than the single niche.

I've experimented a bit with multi-niche websites. What I learned was that unless you've established yourself as an authority in a particular niche then you'll lose your readers fast. It happened to me.

The possible solution to this is to have a static landing page with links to your articles (categorized by niche) so when someone lands on your home page they will easily find what they are looking for. Otherwise, if the subject matter of the content that appears on your home page is too broad and diverse that would prove to be counter-productive. When someone sees something that doesn't interest them more than once, they may decide not to come back.

It's better for that reason to stick to only one niche per website.

Yeah, good point. I was also trying to create start page on multi-niche website where i placed links to each niche categories and lists of 3 lattest posts from each category / niche, so it was good idea. Not good to mix all different niches in one page

Well, I am relatively new to the field of writing and blogging but with whatever experience I have in this field, I tend to agree that it is always better to concentrate on a single niche and establish yourself as an authority in regards to that single niche. a subject we are very passionate about and we have a great deal of knowledge and experience to share with the readers can be that unique niche for us. Even if we have the knowledge of various other niches, it's better to stick with a single or at the most two niche subjects so that we are able to do give time and quality content to our readers. I guess the success of our blog will always depend upon the quality of the content that we offer to the readers rather than the variety of subjects we offer in the bog

It's all about time and focus, you can't simply put up a lot of single niche sites because your time is limited and having 4 sites up would take all of your time and surely your post quality would be affected.

In my opinion single niche sites are the most effective because focusing on your niche would give it quality articles that would boost your authority and traffic.

For a simple person like me, I don’t think it is a good idea to have several websites with different niches unless you are a wide reader and is knowledgeable in many fields. But regarding the maintenance of the website, it is hard to imagine that you will be writing contents for 5 or 10 sites with a variety of niches. Just to think about it already gives me a headache. But in fairness to that setup, maybe it is worth the trouble if the revenue is rewarding especially if it can take care of your daily expenses.

For staters like me, I would go for a single niche site. With a single niche site, it is much easier to manage and focus. Besides, it is easier to market a single niche site as opposed to multiple niche sites. Furthermore, creating backlinks is easier for a single niche site.
But, if you are experienced and your budget allows you to diversify, then you can run a multiple, though it demands a lot of sacrifices and managing cash.

I think it's better to create several sites. Separate for each niche. It will be much more profitable, and I think that the conversion should increase. By the way, you can use Webflow. With it, you can easily create websites.

Yes, webflow is a very powerful website builder that allows you to design, create and launch fully functional websites without coding. If you wish, you can figure out how to do everything yourself, but personally I prefer not to bother, and when I need it, I can just hire webflow expert. his saves a lot of time while I do more important things for my business.
