Getting clicks but no buyers on my services, why?

My services are getting a pretty decent amount of traffic after just a day or two of being published, but I struggle on getting my first sale. Would anybody mind checking out my services and seeing what may be causing me to have no sales?

Hey Andrew,

I looked over your services and I can see a few reasons to why you're not getting any sales. I'll also tell you a few tricks to boost your sales here on SEOclerks Getting clicks but no buyers on my services, why?

First, your services are pretty basic and people are probably clicking on them to just see what they are. Think of it this way, would you want to hire a service that has 1 or 2 sentences with a few images showing their work or would you want to pay someone a few dollars for a service they took time to set up and wrote up a few paragraphs of content? I would always go with the person who takes more time to set up their service because it shows more dedication. You need to add your past experiences, how many happy clients you've already helped with your design services, any certificates or awards you've gotten in the past to give yourself value in the eyes of the visitor. Write up your service like a biography as well as a service you're trying to sell. Give someone a story and they will already trust you before they even think about purchasing Getting clicks but no buyers on my services, why?

Think of it like 1 in 1,000 views will purchase. If you set your goals to convert 1 in 1,000 people then you will be excited when you get 2 or 3 sales within those first 1,000 views Getting clicks but no buyers on my services, why? I've got a couple services, one of them I promote every once in a while, and that one gets around 2,000 views whenever I'm promoting it. I'll get around 6 sales, but those people tend to come back after they receive my work because of the high-quality content I write for them Getting clicks but no buyers on my services, why?

One other thing I noticed about your services. They're written in a way that makes it sound like you require the person paying you to also give you dozens of images and color schemes in order to get the work done. People just want to pay you, get the work, give you critiques, and get a finished product. I offer web design services to customers through my marketing company and I ask them basic things like "What websites or website features do you like that we can put into your own design?" or "Do you have a color scheme in mind? If not, do you know of a website online right now that you want us to copy their colors?". The same thing goes for logo design, you can ask them if they have any logos in mind that they like, which you can base your design off of. You can also ask them what industry they're in, what colors they prefer, if they want their logos to be edgy or if they want a more approachable design. The more information you can get on the fly, without the customer having to search for images, the more sales you will actually get.

Remember, people want to take the easy route and you need to help them along that journey as a freelancer Getting clicks but no buyers on my services, why?

They look better, but they're not quite there yet.

Add your experience, more examples of your work, and a guarantee if you want.

People want to know you're going to do the work, so by adding your experience and background you'll show them this won't be your first attempt, and they'll trust you more. By adding more examples, you will show them your range of design ideas, and they may see something they want replicated for their own by just viewing your examples Getting clicks but no buyers on my services, why?

Getting traffic is the first step to getting sales. However, don't expect to make sales overnight. it takes time to make your first sales because most of the buyers do not trust a new seller. In order to attract buyers to buy your services, you need to give better services than your competitors. You services also must be unique. Let me explain if you are giving the same service that many are already giving why would anyone buy from you when you are a new seller. If you charge the same amount that an experienced seller is charging, why would people buy from a newbie.

Currently SEO Clerks does not allow me to create a service under 5 so its hard to create a lower price then my competitors.

@andrew03 a seller on level 1 cannot create a service under $1. You need to set at lest $5 for your service. However, it will be difficult to make sales because experienced sellers are also selling the same service for $5. The only way you can attract buyers is by giving more with your service. For instance, an experienced buyer is selling a 500 word article for $5, you cannot sell the same service for less than $5. What you can do here is offer 1000 words for $5 or offer two articles for $5. Pricing is very important factor when you are selling.

One of the biggest mistakes we do, we want to make sales fast, and we don't understand that everything takes its time. When we are new in any business, we are competing with people that already have a reputation, people that have experience in the field. The only way to accomplish sales overnight, is by selling something out of this world, compared to what other people are selling.

It may be your price is high or your service to general and common. When posting a service it's best to do some research first on your competitors after which spin a good service post, one that is both interesting and charismatic in nature, by doing this people would be attracted to your service thereby getting more clients or conversions.

There's a lot of factors that may be the cause of a poor conversion ratio. It could be because of a wrong or unattractive write-up or pitch. It's best to revise your post to a more attractive and charismatic one.

You have a point. You need to pitch your service with a good writing. You also need to add your primary and secondary keywords for internal and external ranking. A good pitch starts with a catchy headline and description.

There's two things you might consider one is the price, it might be wrong or too high, take a look at your competitors and post a price which is in the low side. Second is how convincing and clear your write-up is, it should be crystal clear and fair.

As someone who buys social media services (not a provider) here are some reasons I would probably not select you. Warning: I am being brutally honest on giving my personal impression as a potential customer.

* You are mainly offering things that even I think I could do for myself in 30 minutes on Canva
* Your top example for one service is labeled "2016" which makes it look like you don't get much work, I would expect a great service provider to be busy and have recent examples
* You are selling two books that look to be of the scammy "get rich quick" type. They may not be that, but they looked like it to me. And I am not drawn to someone who seems like a quick buck type rather than a graphics/SEO whatever-it-is expert.
* There is a lot of bad grammar and questionable overall quality apparent in your listings.

I suggest you think harder about what you are really good at that a lot of people need--and build a lot of quality examples of that thing.

Hi Andrew! I checked your services to see why you are not getting sales. I noticed that your services were offered in a very simple and plain way. Your store should be a representation of what you really want to offer. For you to gain customers, your services should be attractive. Sometimes, it is the first impression that counts when it comes to viewing services online. I would also suggest adding more information about the services that you offer. It should have a very interesting content. You can also use graphics or post different images for your services.

That's something that is crucial as we have seen that doing what we do is better than not making it look quite good for the sales that you want to offer. So, doing as much as he can to explain more about his services with some kind of backup for that is a good one to go.

I would advise that you try to create some real services that can benefit the customers. I feel that some of the services that you have offered like the motivational quotes just won't sell as well. Plus, those graphics were made using one of those online social media generators which I have used for personal use before. If someone knows that, they aren't going to pay you $5 for you to do such a simple thing.

Something that is important when you are opening a service on any freelance site is to try to be explicit with the way that you make up your service. Do a convincing write-up of the service that you are doing because that is the only way that you can make more sales.

Now I understand, thank you for this tips as I have also a problem like that. There are many clicks but no one ever contacted me. Maybe I need to change something in my profile. Yes you are right, it needs dedication if you are willing to make your services more attracting to costumers.

Try to increase the content of your sales. Try to once a person clicks on your sales he has something that will entice him to buy. Getting customers is one thing and making them to buy is another thing.

I guess you have optimized your profile well but you are not offering the services that people are looking for. This is the same problem that people face when they have websites, they get views but no conversions. I think that you need to seriously look at your profile and how you are offering your services. Are the services not properly defined?is the price too high? It could be something very small. Also take the advise given to you above.
