When you start your first website or business, you're probably thinking "I'm going to be rich by this time next year!" or you think you might do this even sooner, but you might not be thinking about your lead generation.  Forgetting about lead generation is like you don't even run a business, this is because you aren't going to be focused on building up your revenue, which is what you definitely need in order to be successful or rich by this time next year.

There are companies out there that have teams of people who solely focus on lead generation.  They will have PPC management teams, content writers, SEO teams, and teams for various other methods that work well to bring in customers.  You'll need to do everything those teams are doing if you want to be successful, but obviously, you won't be able to do it on a scale they are.


Planning your business is easy, generating leads is the tough part
You can plan for days, weeks, or years and think you have everything ironed out to be the best company possible, but if you forgot about generating leads then you're not done planning.  Many companies focus on a great product, their on-page optimization, their off page optimization, and even their websites design but they tend to forget about lead generation every once in a while. 

Don't be one of those companies that forget about lead generation, because you don't want to close up shop next year due to something you could have been doing today.

Your lead generation system starts now
If you're not focusing on lead generation, you need to switch gears and get to work, otherwise, you'll be wasting your time and looking for a new job sooner rather than later.

Get in front of your customers
Use various methods to get in front of potential customers.  You can use PPC campaigns, content marketing, legitimate press releases, and various other methods to bring people to your website and fill out your email forms or simply purchase from you on their first visit.

Set up a plan of attack
You need a lead generation plan of attack that is separate from your business model, but blends well, sort of like legos fitting together.  If you can build your business so you can also do various advertising and lead generation techniques to pull people in, you're doing something right Forgetting about lead generation is the same as forgetting about your business

Tell everyone your secrets
Yes, you need to tell everyone your secrets and how you got to be the best in your industry if you want to bring in more leads.  If it took you a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get where you are now, no one will become your competitor because they don't have the time or can risk anything to do what you did.

Build authority and accountability
When you're doing everything right, you'll be building up your authority within the industry you're targeting.  You will also be gaining accountability with every successful order or client sign up. 

If you're not focused on lead generation, you won't be building either of these as quick as you can, and that's why lead gen is a 2 point attack.  You'll keep your business profitable as well as build your authority and credibility.


In conclusion
Forgetting to do lead generation is a killing blow to any company that isn't already making millions of dollars a year.  Sure, if you have hundreds of thousands of dollars in profits each year, and it's stable without you doing anything, you likely don't have to focus on lead generation every single day.  Are you one of those companies?  I doubt it, so you need to stick to your lead generation techniques and boost your business to be the best it can possibly be!

Lead generation is a must do in any business and is an important integral part of marketing. There's a lot of ways of generating leads and it always starts by targeting a particular niche where you need to generate leads from. You can build authority to gain followers which takes time or you can do a PPC campaign or a good Advertising campaign. For very fast results you can do a Luring campaign like contests, promos, games and raffles, which is my favorite technique when it comes to startups and old sites that needs a reboot.

Promos like games and raffles are always being used by supermarkets here although lately that kind of marketing has somehow ebbed. There was the ubiquitous big raffle basket where the customers would put in their raffle ticket. Customers are given raffle tickets with a purchase of the minimum account. Generating leads is very tough. I have been doing affiliate marketing since 2010. I began by promoting amazon products and ebay products on my hubpages articles. I managed to sell some products however, I never made a satisfactory sales. The reason why I failed in affiliate marketing is I am unable to generate leads.
I am also running websites since 2015, however, none of my websites have too many subscribers. I have enabled subscribe feature, I am even giving freebies to the subscribers, however, I have failed to gain subscribers.
