When you're running a company you'll likely come to the point where you need to start running some ads in order to bring in new clients. This is a normal step for any business, but some people running the ads don't know that you can optimize them in order to help boost your conversions rates. You may already be doing some of the things that I will be covering in this discussion, and you might not even know you're doing it, but I urge you to read through all of these points to see what you're doing and what you need to improve on
We all know that high conversion rates are a good thing, but not knowing what you're doing will make it so your rates will drop fairly quick, so you need to study up and optimize the best you can in order to stop wasting money on advertising and only profit when you're running a campaign for yourself or your business.
Below you will find the key points of boosting your conversions rates, and they are:
Add in some social proof
Have you ever come across an ad that says "Join our 5,000,000 happy members!"? Well, that's social proof that people are already in love with their product or service and it will likely increase your conversion rates. If you can do anything that shows people are already loving your product or service you will likely see people signing up with you more often without having to do much research about your product or service.
Now, if you have an expensive product or service you'll notice people will still check you out and leave, but your conversions should still spike slightly.
Bring people in with an incentive
People like discounts, coupons, and free stuff so that's what you'll want to play around with in order to boost your conversions. If someone sees your ad along with a competitors, and yours says "Save 20% on your next order!" they will likely go with you instead of the other guy who is fully priced. What's really awesome about this is your product could come out to $95 after the discount and your competitor is selling for $96 without a discount and you'll still get the majority of the sales because people will think they're getting a much better service even if it's pretty much the same lol.
There should be some sense of urgency within your titles or descriptions
When people think they might lose something they're more likely to sign up right away without second guessing it because they don't want to lose out. You might never take down the 48 hours until the sale is over, but the person viewing your ads and pages might not realize this, increasing your conversions.
People don't like to miss out on something no matter what it is, so if you have a sense of urgency and make them feel like they're going to miss out they will be more willing to sign up.
A/B testing should always be done to see what works and what doesn't
No matter what you're doing, you should always be A/B testing in order to make sure what works and what doesn't. If you don't know what ads are working, you might be deleting the ones that are bringing in all the sales while the lesser performing ones are still live and getting a few clicks here and there.
Increasing your conversions is what A/B testing is all about since you're removing the ads that don't bring in the bacon and only keeping the ones that keep the lights on lol.
Build custom audiences and show them specific ads
When you have an ad up and running you'll always want a pixel on your landing page so you can show someone who has already been on your website a new ad that will entice them to come back in. You can pair this up with an incentive or by creating a sense of urgency in order to lure them back in to save money or not miss out.
Custom audiences will build over time, which means you won't be able to do this right away after your ads are live, but over a few weeks or months, you will notice your retargeted ads are bringing interested people back into your website who are now making a sale.
Always Be Consistent!
People want to know you're consistent, so do just that and watch your conversions increase. If you are all over the place with your content, posts, ads, services, products, etc. people won't know what you're doing and they will be confused. We all know that one of the worst things you can do in any business is to confuse the potential client that is in front of you, so you always need to be consistent in anything you do online in order to make more money
In conclusion
Boosting your conversions isn't always the easiest thing to do and it doesn't matter how long you've been working online. It won't be something you can do overnight and see instant results, it takes time and knowledge in order to do it right and see the sales start rolling in. You need to be patient and comb through the data that comes in with your ads, then figure out what is working and stick with it. The more conversions you get, the more money you make obviously
