An entrepreneur putting in 120% will always be more successful

An entrepreneur putting in 120% will always be more successful

When it comes to working online, you will always have to work in order to see profits coming in waves.  Yes, you don't always have to work in order to see profits, and yes there are some exceptions to this but there aren't many people who don't have to bust their ass in order to become profitable.  People can tell you they are successful, but that's based on their own opinions, and they could actually make 50% less than you and think they're successful while you're making much more and think you're not even close to success.

Success is just a word you work to, but there's no stopping point, so you need to keep striving to be better than yesterday in order to be even more successful tomorrow.  If your competitors are working 8 hours a day, you need to work 9, and over time you will overcome them and be more successful than they were when you started.  You can be successful sitting on your butt complaining on a forum about what method you read that isn't working for you or getting down on yourself because you spent $100 on advertising and only made $10.  You need to keep working at 120% and never look back unless it's to reference something you need to remember in order to be even more successful lol.

You don't know what tomorrow brings
You could literally lose everything tomorrow, you could lose your websites, you could lose your income streams, you could lose your computer.  Put in 120% every single day because you never know how long it will be until shit hits the fan.  Sure, it may never go south for you, but you need to think it will all be taken away in order to strive towards success and get your piece of the pie sooner rather than later An entrepreneur putting in 120% will always be more successful

You could become successful quicker
Right now you could be working 6 or 8 hours a day, which is pretty good but not amazing, so why not work an extra 2 or 3 hours and see success quicker than your normal work schedule?  Imagine how much work you could get done in an additional 2 or 3 hours, you can set up a new website and get some advertising campaigns up to see what works and what doesn't right away, or you could even build new business connections and over time you will make plenty more than you are now.

Currently, I work around 10 hours a day, and I have a baby in my house, so if you tell me you can't squeeze in an extra 2 or 3 hours a day I'm going to call bullshit and tell you that you're not trying hard enough lol.  Anyone that has children knows how difficult it is to get work done, and I'm not saying I work 10 straight hours, but I do get 600 minutes of work in each day because I want to push myself towards success and not wait for it to come to me gradually An entrepreneur putting in 120% will always be more successful

Your competitors won't know what hit them
When you start a new website or business and you're putting in 120% you will come out of nowhere and startle your competitors.  They will likely figure out who you are eventually, but it will be too late already because you're being the boss and pushing your website into the industry like it's the main place everyone needs to recognize.  Get on social media and publish content about your website, get on blogs and build connections, publish sales threads to forums, hire influencers, set up PPC campaigns, etc.

If you're not doing all of that, and more, you're not doing enough out of the gate to scare your competitors.

Entrepreneurs shouldn't stop driving forward
No matter what problems you come across, you shouldn't stop pushing forward towards success, if you do you'll fail.  Do you think Facebook slowed down when they had lawyers after them for intellectual property rights and share distributions gone wrong?  NOPE!  Do you think any successful company puts their business on hold when they come to a hurdle?  NOPE!  The great companies out there will keep pushing while dealing with the problem and they will be even more successful when everything is resolved.

Putting 120% into this is a necessity because you'll need to deal with any problems as well as push your company upwards towards success.  It's a difficult thing to do, but if you want to be a massive success you need to put in the time.

In conclusion
I'm sure one of you will say "I was successful without having to do much!" and that's great for you, but your success might be a drop in my bucket lol.  Success is determined by your goals, not someone else, so if you're consistently hitting them in a set amount of time then you're successful.  Of course, your goals will have to be realistic and not "Wake up before noon on Friday!" lol.  Put in 120% and you will see success coming for you An entrepreneur putting in 120% will always be more successful

Just some more spice. A little bit of salt in the way you work for your website. More time there and you will be successful.

You said it right. Though there is a baby in the house still you can put in ten hours. That is great. Quite encouraging and inspirational.

I agree with you, we need to invest our time if we really want to be successful.

What I know is that success depends from one person to another. To one buying a smartphone but to anther it is normal. Earning $1,000 a month blogging is success to one freelancer but to another is pocket money.

When your business is an online business that requires to be run using a website, it's very important to make sure you have everything set well with your website because it's your means of connection with your business clients.

Make sure you have your website optimized to be mobile friendly because you will miss a lot of customers if it's not.

That is why we also have saying that "time is gold". it means we need to give time also to what we are pursuing especially if it is about business to make it successful in the right time while nurturing it.

time is the most precious asset that you have as all things revolve around it. Even with having a business takes time to maximize its profitability let alone achieve the success that one so desires. Nothing happens immediately like the snap of a finger especially scaling a startup so patience is an essential virtue to have.

I really like the concept of working hard when you can, because you simply can't foresee what the future will bring. I've often thought about that myself - if some of my freelancing gigs finished, or if my laptop died, I'd be in a really frustrating and financially detrimental position. Working hard and building a nest egg now is important to me, for many reasons.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you, and its a good thing that you have savings encase of something happen to you.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Yes, being a freelancer has really made me more conscious of budgeting, saving, and working hard. Sometimes you simply can't predict when a client will no longer need your services, so it's best to plan for the future as much as you can.

Eventualities do happen in life. I believe all such eventualities have a purpose in life. If your computer suddenly dies there may be some money somewhere for you to buy another.

No misfortune comes without a solution. Just seek deep. However, working hard is a must.

I can relate to you. Without my laptop or in case freelancing services that I offer are no more, then I will be doomed. I am taking the challenge from now onwards.

Seriously, hardwork pays very well. You can't be lazy and expect money and profits to fall from the sky into your bank account.

Your efforts to make progress in your business is what would definitely push your business upward and guarantee your business succeeds.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

focusedwriter10
True. Without hard work, there are so many things that you will not achieve. Yet, you have the potential.

Hard work combined with sacrifice and dedication will always lead to success. There is no way your business can do well when you are lazy.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You should also change that to smart work. There are people who give in the extra hours day in day out but take too long or never have the success that they envision. Smart work is knowing what you need to do and who you need to do it with as well as how and when.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you. It's important also to control yourself on how you spend your money. It's useless anyway if you work hard and you love to spend your money on things that you just want. You'll be broke in the future, if that's the case.

I can relate to the topic what I did today. I used to work until 11 am during weekends and I would quit before 12 noon so that my head will be relaxed. Freelancing is not an easy task. But today I quit by 12:20 pm and that is a record of sorts like I did work overtime and hoping that I would earn more as if I was paid for overtime work. It is better to work harder until I can because it is already the onset of Christmas season that money is always a necessity and a requirement for me.

I think current technology allows freelancers to work extra hours and days. Without the internet, we'd have to make these deals in person on Sundays and some holidays. It would be a real pain.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, I am glad how the technology is growing and upgrading because for people who work online, it is a really big help.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

The flexibility is such a huge part of the appeal of freelancing. If you need to work extra, you can. If you've got the ability to take on less jobs for a period of time, then you're able to. Morning person? You can work then. Or you can work later if you're a night owl.

You really can't beat the ability to set your own hours.

I'm not “The One” who will say “I was successful without doing much.” But I wish I was the one who could say that. LOL. An entrepreneur putting in 120% will always be more successful I am already organized in that I know the set of tasks I have to do. But one thing I've learned about myself, when I started working for myself, is that I need really effective time management. But I also need to be more flexible and not be so hard on myself when I don't accomplish what I set out to do. I tell myself: “Reach for the sky. If you get to the moon or the stars, that's not so bad, is it?”

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I feel you, but honestly when I started working online I had now more time to myself and my rate is better now, than before that I was still working in a office.

I can totally relate to this. I fall into category of "more I do still I am not there yet". I guess success is not that easy and people should make their choices the right way. And that goes to show you that more effort and we add it just gets a bit harder. I wish I could say that making money online was any easier.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Do not get tired my friend of doing and doing. Wake up each and every day with a firmer belief that success is surely on its way and you will have it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Indeed. I may just have to change few things and add new routine. That may hopefully change some things for me. It can also help out on many different routes. I guess doing same things over and over and expecting different result. That leads to the issues. I have to change on few things.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think sometimes it's not about putting 120%. It's about smart work. And finding out the activity that pays like good money. And always consider scaling that activity. So one has to be understanding that hustle is not always going to work. And you have to put in the work the smart way. And find out how that activity can be done by delegation. Because that is another thing that needs to be thought about.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
That's true - I often hear that phrase "work smarter, not harder" thrown about. If I can get done in 5 hours what would take someone else 10, just by working efficiently and with targeted goals in mind, then ultimately that efficiency saves me time!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

burgosmichael24
You're suggestions are all good and beneficial. However, success is not always about working hard but working smart. People always strive to be successful in this life but they ended up exhausted and losing their own family. People nowadays chose to work online not because of the opportunity to earn more but because of the privilege of spending time with family while earning. Working hard is good but working smart is better.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
I agree. online work does give one an opportunity to have more free time with family and friends. even when the money is not that much there are other special rewards like the time that people value.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You have a great point. A lot of people always say that we should work hard, but we sometimes forget to work smart. That's a nice reminder.

Men, 10 hours a day is a no-no for me. 10 hours for work, if you do the maths, you'll see that I will only be left with 14 hours to attend to other essential things in my life: rest, play, relationship and all those.

Moreover, working hard is not really the dig, the issue is working smart, and working smart has the potential of taking lesser time.

About the goal thing. If the only goal i have in mind to meet is the financial goal, I'll be forced to sacrifice a lot of things as a result; and it will cost me dearly in the long run.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
Well if you put it in terms of goals then I think that for me the financial goal is more important than others at this stage of my life since I have numerous things ahead of me and all require some level of financial muscle. This is why I put it as a priority.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mosesoscar
I'm not ignoring the fact that we should have financial goals; it's important, but it's not the only goal there is to set. Give it it its time, but be careful not to let it crowd your thinking or suffocate your other goal. There's a place for balance

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You have a point. Well, for others, they would rather spend their whole time making money than do things that keeps the balance in their lifestyle. It actually depends on the person.

Exactly. It depends on person. But I still think those who are this way are not doing things right. My thoughts tho

I feel like you are addressing me. I am now going to take some discipline measures to push myself into work even when I feel less motivated. I will start putting that 120% because I have been putting 80-90%. This has challenged me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Right? Sometimes I feel like these posts come when I most need them. I do think most of the time I work reasonably well, but I feel like there's always room for improvement and this helped to light the fire in me again. I need to remember that I've got to do more than my competitors to set myself apart!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I also agree. It is always better to put in the extra effort which will make results arrive quicker than when you do the average. It is common for entepreneurs to spend less than three hours asleep and the rest of the day working on their dreams. It is this zeal that makes them go far enough.

I couldn't agree more. Success won't come overnight. One must strive hard and put enough dedication to be able to be successful. As they say, no pain, no gain. We really have to exert effort and work hard in order to reach our goals no matter how hard it would be.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Kakashi2020
I do agree that putting a lot of effort into something can lead to success but it also depends on luck. There are many factors which an online worker has no control of and one also needs luck and proper timing to be successful.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mitan143
Yes, I also believe to that also. Not all hardworking businessmen who put so much effort and resources into their businesses ended up to be successful. Sometimes, they lack on luck, opportunities and power. Well, I'm not saying that we should rely on our luck but there are really times that we will go down no matter how hard we push something up, and there are also people who became instant successful because they are too lucky. Anyway, hardwork is still very important to everyone to everything we do.

I am sure this is true. However, for me, this would mean a lack of life quality. While having money is great and being successful is lovely, I think my priorities are always going to lie with people and especially church and family. That said, the principle would hold true for being a success where you want to be. Everything worth doing is going to take that 120%. My views are probably why I may always be the custormer not the seller for most things.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
You know, that's a really important point you make. At certain points in our life we're not going to be able to necessarily give 120% to a business venture. I have young children, so there are limits with how much I can add to my schedule simply based on the fact that their needs come first. Even if I work at 120% during my allocated work hours, I don't have as many hours to allocate to work because of other commitments in my life. Being a great mom is important to me and something I can't put a price tag on.

We really need to work hard and spend much time on our websites as much as possible because success cannot be achieved in just a short period of time because it takes a lot of time to acquire some wealth and profit that we desire. We need to have a lot of patience and spend a lot of efforts so that we can easily achieve our goals.

In every business, whether it's online or offline business, when you offer more effort, commitment and dedication to your business, it's obvious that you are most likely going to do well and very better than those who chip in part time efforts in their business.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

When it comes to managing any business, try as much as possible to offer your very best in the business because it's the only way to convince your customers and prospective clients that you mean your business and you are willing to invest your time, money and effort in it. So, they can as well turn and patronize your business products and services.

Make hay while the sun shines. That is the only way to be assured that things will be OK even when the bad days come. You never can tell when a search algorithm update will hit you hard. About.com was a huge site back in time and then Google got it. They had to change their name and rebuild but no longer are they ranked above Wikipedia as it was in the past.

I'm all for putting in 120% for: creating content that is of higher quality than your competitors and marketing. That extra effort exerted will definitely push you further ahead.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Oh, I remember about.com and they totally dropped off the radar. It’s true that in today’s business landscape you just don’t know when change will occur. It can be an overnight thing sometimes where you go from something to nothing very quickly - and vice versa!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
That's the frustrating part of freelancing though. Just when you think you have it figured out - the game changes all over again.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Jeane
Oh, I remember about.com and they totally dropped off the radar.

The site still exists. It is now called "dotdash."

And apparently it is not the only site which was hit hard by Google's updates. Numerous revenue sharing sites also lost their rankings at that time. Some never recovered, a few still survive but things aren't the same as they used to be.

So while it is still possible to make more money from your site, work harder to earn more because you never know when things will change making the website less profitable.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
Some of the changes made though in this business are made without any real direction. Google's algorithms over the years made more sense than they do now. Lots of sites with relevant keywords, but hardly any content are getting ranked quite highly. While more valuable resources are being pushed back further in search results.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jpk0007
That is very true one should always keep on working persistently even when there are problems and difficulties in your way. In the field of freelancing, there is a lot of competition and you need to work hard in order to survive here. On the other hand, there is no security that the work you are getting now will always keep on coming to you and assure you a steady flow of income. There is always a chance of someone else getting your work or sometimes the sites which have been working successfully for years may suddenly shut down and close shop. Its always better to work persistently and get the maximum profits when you can.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I personally love to see people that are very passionate on the things that they love doing, those with high dreams and great desire but it is very dissapointing to see lots of successful person that have family problems and die at a young age because of overworking. Its okay to work hard but they should not forget that they are are just human, all of us have aour limits. They should not just think about their dreams but also think about their family and spending enough time with them, and their health as well.
They should make everything i balance.

Most of the freelancers that I know have the drive for their purpose to earn more. But like me, some of them prefer to stay in their comfort zone due to the past experiences when the ventured and lost. Sometimes the adage slow and steady is a good rule because you cannot go wrong when you are slow and steady in your career. I have proven that in my office job that I have stayed for more than 30 years in our office and I am now occupying an executive position.

A grear entrepreneurs forget about the odds, and that they simply go for it. The real entrepreneurs don’t give a shit about that everybody around them is telling them they’re nuts, and they’re going to fail. Real entrepreneurs simply don’t care about all the, “that is why your business enterprise will fail” talk.

Super agree. This is especially true when you are working online.I just started working online seriously this year. When you have the opportunity to work take it and work, because they maybe no business for a while. I read an article that proposed, when you are working on any project aim to make what you need to live on for 6 months, plus savings. Also have as many income streams as you can. When one door closes another one opens.
