Affiliate marketing has always been something that I have been interested in. I am currently on a gap year so I have got a bit of time to spare so I thought why not jump into it now. For anyone that has some experience with it or is currently doing some affiliate marketing, how do I start? What type of products/services do you think I should start to get into it?

A few ways you can crack into affiliate marketing, and actually profit, is simple but takes a little bit of time to set up. Below I'll go over a couple of the more known ways, that bring in money, that won't require a ton of money up front to build
Write your own eBook
This is pretty obvious, you'll be writing an eBook, but it will have to be extremely detailed and fill a hole within a niche so you can profit a decent amount. You can go through amazon and see what eBooks are selling, and if you find a niche that doesn't have many listings, that's where you come in
You don't have to be a specialist in the niche, you just have to do all the research someone would have to do in order to get into it, and they will come across your eBook that has all the answers Think about it, there probably isn't many eBooks about competitive basket weaving, and that's because it's not really a thing lol. If you can find something like that, which actually exists, you will find a void that can be filled with your own information
The key to eBooks and affiliate marketing is you'll place your own affiliate links within the eBook, and you'll make a commission whenever someone downloads your book and then makes a purchase through your link, obviously. You can give your book away for free, or sell it for much less than anyone else within the niche, so you're guaranteed to make more sales than your competition
Setting up a review website
There are a bunch of plugins and WordPress themes that revolve around this type of website, so go over to themeforest.net and find the right theme, that comes with free plugins, and set up your review website. Again, you'll want to target a low competition niche so you can turn a profit quicker than a difficult niche.
You'll be reviewing, or comparing, products or services and giving your honest review that is going to be positive because you want people to then click the "Buy Now" or "More Info" button that is actually your affiliate link to the product or service you just reviewed.
This method works extremely well if you can rank for the product name + review, which could be "Amazon Prime Review" and then you link to where people can sign up for an amazon prime subscription and you get a commission. I'm not actually sure if that's a possibility, since I don't push amazon products, but it's a good idea lol
- Tommy Affiliate marketing it easy and difficult at the same time, which is extremely annoying for people just starting out lol. A lot of people think they can just register for a system, then post their affiliate links all over the place and make a commission, but it just doesn't work like that.
