How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites

Running a website can be a difficult thing to do if you're performing all the tasks, big and small, by yourself.  You can go crazy working 12+ hour days managing everything from building a few backlinks to answering emails and even fulfilling orders.  What if I told you that you can actually user freelancer marketplaces like SEOclerks to boost productivity, increase sales, skyrocket your rankings, and even answer any emails that come into your inbox?

Well, you can most definitely do all of this, but it will obviously cost some money to do so.  If you want people to help you out with all of your website needs, you'll need to pay them, but the beauty is that you won't have to pay them much!  Even if you pay someone hourly, you won't have to pay very much because you can find people from all over the world, even target specific countries that can work for pennies on the dollar compared to what you would have to pay in the United States.  Think of it as your outsourced employee army who will do everything you need done, and for a fraction of the price How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites

Think about it, an employee in the United States gets roughly $9 for minimum wage, and that would come out to $1,440 per month to have them do a task for you.  If you were to outsource this work, and have someone in the Philippines do it for you, it would cost around $300 for the entire month.  Of course, the more experienced the person is for the position, the more you'll have to pay.  Even if you were to pay someone in the Philippines $1,440 USD, that would be like hiring someone with a PHD in the US to do the work for you How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites

In this discussion, if you haven't figured it out already, I'll be talking about how you can have a workforce doing everything from answering emails to generating leads and all for a fraction of the cost.  Below are just a few things you can outsource work for, and get very credible freelancers to do it.

Diversity of Talent
One of the best thing about freelance marketplaces like SEOclerks is that you have a pool of experience to pick from.  You can literally choose the best of the best and pay a fraction of the cost compared to getting employees through a talent agency or having them fill out applications while submitting their resumes.

I regularly outsource work to credible sellers and it's like I'm the boss and they're the employee.  They do an amazing job and make some money plus get a great review while I get a task finished and a happy client on the other end How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites

You can run entire companies with outsourced help, you just need to have the right people working with you in order to have everything go according to the plan.

Finding virtual assistants
Virtual assistants, or VA's, are the type of people who might not have any specific skill set but can still help you out with data entry or simply responding to your emails.  I always have a specific VA monitor my emails because I don't want to miss out on anything.

Think about it, you could pay a VA $100 a month and have them respond to any email that comes into your website.  Of course, they would need to understand your language very well, to the point where they can keep a great conversation going, but that's not difficult to find if you just figure out which countries speak your primary language as their own primary language.

Virtual assistants are more than just email responders, they can also manage other tasks you need performed like running and monitoring software.  I have had plenty of VA's run software for me, compile the data, and then add it into some forms for me for later use.  I think I paid them around $1.50 an hour and profited much more than what I paid them, so I gave them a bonus How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites

Web design and programming
Back when i started out, I always paid $2,000+ for a website design.  I quickly figured out what WordPress was and never looked back, but I'm not a great designer or programmer, so I still lacked the knowledge of editing anything I needed to.  To fix this problem, I will outsource the work to a credible designer and programmer in order to get it done without breaking it even more lol.

You'll have to go through a decent amount of designers and programmers before you find the best one possible, but this is just a trial and error type process, so take your time.  It took me at least a year to find the best programmer, that speaks fluent English because he's from the Philippines, and doesn't cost $2,000 per design I need done How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites  The best part about it is that he can also design websites If I need anything done from scratch How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites

Take your time with this if you're looking for a good programmer or designer.  You will need to write down, or type up, a list of potential candidates and filter them out based on reviews and where they are located.  If you want to pay a premium, you can hire someone from the US or the UK, but if you're like most of us you'll want to look for someone in the Philippines.  Try to avoid anyone from India, sorry guys, because I've never had a great experience outsourcing work there.  Sure, there's probably a lot of qualified people to do the work I need, but the customer support is never top notch.

Social media marketing
If you've ever done social media marketing, you know that it can be a tedious task and fairly repetitive.  For this reason, a lot of people like to outsource this type of work, just as I do most of the time lol.  Again, you'll have to find someone that knows how to speak your primary language as well as type it, if you want the best results possible.

You can hire people for specific platforms or to do everything there is to do with social media marketing.  Remember, you wouldn't work on every single social media platform out there, so what makes you think your freelancer will do that?  Pick your top 3 platforms and find the best person for the job.  You can even hire one person for each platform and have the best results possible How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites

In Conclusion
You can actually run an entire company by outsourcing your work to credible freelancers.  It will take a while to find the right person for each task, but you can do it if you're patient.  Bringing in a freelancer to do a task you can't do yourself, or you just don't want to do anymore, is a great way to free you up to focus on other aspects of your business.  It's difficult to run a website, or a business, so bringing in a few freelancers will instantly relieve you of some stress since you don't have to do all of the work anymore How I use freelancer marketplaces as the back-end for a few of my websites

Yes, if there are mundane or repetitive tasks you can get others to do, that will free you up to do other things,,and why not do them if you can? I think you have to do a cost benefit ratio though to see which tasks are worth it to get others to do, and which are better done by yourself.

In ad much as I agree with you on the need to do these works by ourselves, I don't see anything wrong with giving the work to others as long as they will be able to do as good as we want it.

I am thinking of hiring a freelancer for some tasks that I regularly do because I am lacking time now with the coming Christmas season. It is usually too busy in the office with extra work and I am really spending more time in the office that my freelancing is being neglected at times. The task is just posting but I will be the one to be writing what to post. Maybe the freelancer can easily do the posting on social media and other sites.

Outsourcing our works to the right people can come with long term benefits in the sense that we could get to always make some gains doing nothing on a task. If one can be able to get the right freelancers, it's a great way to go about it at the end.

Yes, I think just being clear about your expectations and what you want your freelancers to do will go a long way to getting you the type of help you need when you are looking for freelancers to do some of your work, and help you with your writing, graphics or whatever.

I believe in doing everything pertaining to my business or website myself. I hire people to promote it in a certain aspect but that's mostly stuff like banner ads or ad words. Any form of personal promotion that my business needs I prefer to be the one to carry it out. That way I know it will get done, and in the way I want it to be done.

I basically do everything myself too. I can not let someone take charge of the coding or design because I am very very picky about both. For instance, if the website is written in PHP (most of them are) then the code has to be beautifully written, and indented etc. If the code looks ugly and is hard to follow I will not like it. As for design, the design has to be flat, bootstrap css, and must include some type of css3 animation. I'm so very picky!

I think it depends in part on how much time you have available to do it. It also depends on what your skill level is when it comes to working on your blog or website. Sometimes it just makes more sense to hire someone to do the work. It is a balancing act.

Pickiness is a great thing in this business. Too many folks in this business are so quick to trust others with the keys to their 'car' so to speak. So if you're that flippant about your vehicle - don't complain when someone brings it home all smashed and dented up.

I think this is a good way of going about it and there really is no one way to be successful anyway. I myself would prefer to just hire others as much as possible so I can spend my time on other more important things but you are right in that they will almost never be done the exact way I have it in my head when it is done that way so there is downsides to that also.

I use the freelance marketplace to outsource my work. I once wanted logos for my website, when I talked to the local designing company I was asked $20 for one logo. However, I found a gig on Fiverr and bought two logos for just $5.
I once wanted an editor for my book, The editor I found in my town was asking for $200. I posted the job on Upwork and found an editor willing to work for $20. When you use freelance marketplace, you can save a lot of money.

You may be able to save a lot of money, however it decreases the amount one could earn. For instance, if a lot of people started to sell seo services for $1, say it require a full day of work. No SEO expert would ever list any seo services because they would feel that they are not getting properly compensated for their work. I know I would never go too low in price. I price based off of similar scripts, and how much I believe it to be work. None of my PHP scripts are above $30 because I believe that's the maximum price I will ever sell code for online. Not sure if it will stay like that, but it seems to work and you definitely do not want to break what is working!

That is the whole essence of the freelance marketplaces.I don't believe in jack of all trade especially on aspects that one is not too good we can always outsource to best hands that will give us the best result.I do outsource stuff on Fiverr like my site designing and coding.Sometimes I get some writers to write good articles for me, this helps me focus on posting to other forums for a pay.

There really is a lot of benefit to using freelancers for smaller tasks that you can delegate especially if you are already very experienced with what you are doing and know that your time can be better spent elsewhere. The more important thing is that if you know the whole picture enough then you would know enough how to budget your resources and you would also know how much you should spend on each virtual employee as when you are able to spend more then you can get a more experienced person for the job that you know will have a lesser chance of letting you down.

I think VA can solve a lot of problems. And it can be good to delegate the work to them. Some of the time it'd be reasonable to make use of them. I personally think that marketplace can be good option for some. And we can easily handle them in that context as well. I am sure in near future some marketplace can be good for the VA and web designers as well.

Outsourcing is one good way of doing the work that you cannot do, can be due to overload or due to lack of skills. That’s where the freelancers come in. I know that there is an abundance of freelancers waiting and eager to work for you. However, it is not easy to hire a person you do not know so that’s the caveat to outsourcing. You have to see proof of the outsourced person’s track record particularly in the field and expertise that he would do for you.
