Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
We all know that building backlinks will increase your search engine rankings. What a lot of people don't know is that you can help increase your backlinks naturally without actually building them yourself! You can boost the urge to get people to build backlinks for you, you can set up ads in order to get some shares, you can also get interviewed on big publication websites in order to be seen as an authority. There are so many things you can do in order to get your name, and your websites URL, in the public eye in order to build your own backlinks naturally.
Everyone thinks that "If you build it, they will come" and the "they" is your backlinks. I'm here to tell you that it's not going to happen like that and a lot of new webmasters, who are getting into SEO and Marketing, get discouraged when they realize this. You have to give people a push in order to encourage them to build backlinks for you. You can ask them to share or build a link for you or you can play with their subconscious and make them think they're doing on their own free will lol Either way, you'll be getting backlinks that you're not building yourself, and that will almost always help you out in the long run
So, what can you do to help increase your natural backlinks?
Write quality content
Writing high-quality content in the form of articles and just regular homepage content will always increase your authority. Did you know that it will also increase your natural backlinks because people will copy and share the URL of your blog post or subpage if they like what it's about? In today's world, people are more likely to share something on social media platforms rather than small blogs and websites because we have these platforms at our fingertips. This isn't a problem though, you will get plenty of traffic and authority from these people sharing on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
What you'll want to do is write up amazing content and encourage people to share it on their favorite websites, not just social media platforms. You can do this by asking them to share on specific websites in your niche, or just asking them to share on their favorite niche related website. They will tend to bypass your suggestion and share where they want, but there will be a few who listen to you and those people will help you build over time
Set up Facebook ads aimed at your quality content
This pairs up with the point I just covered. If you're writing up some great content, and you're not getting the traffic you deserve, you will need to build the traffic streams yourself. This means you will need to set up some Facebook ads in order to get some quick traffic in that is super targeted. You can literally target anyone based on their interests and, what I really love, you can target people on what their past purchases were
Before you set up any ads, you will need to have plenty of content on your website so people don't get bored too quick. They will all leave, but keeping them on your website as long as possible is what you want to be doing. I like to write up 100 blog posts or articles and have them ready for anyone to come in to read, BEFORE I set up any sort of paid traffic streams I do this because when someone comes in to my website, they will be able to browse around and read dozens of articles before they leave. In reality, people will likely read a few pages and then leave, but they will remember my website and hopefully come back. And if they were on my website, where my Facebook pixel sees them, I can retarget them with additional ads to bring them back in If you don't have a decent amount of content on your website, you won't keep everyone on there. Sure, you will have a lot of content on 10 pages, but not everyone will be interested in those 10 pages. This is why I write up 100 articles and add them to my website, I can keep more people interested since there is more content to read.
Since I have plenty of content on my website, and more people are sticking around to read it, there is a bigger chance that they will begin to share something they loved on there. If you only have a few posts, while running ads, you won't get as many shares or natural backlinks because people will start to leave because they lose interest.
Keep them on your website for longer and increase the chances of gaining a natural backlink from them
Add share buttons to every single page
This is kind of an obvious thing when it comes to natural backlinking, but it's something I need to cover. If you have a website up and running, you will want to have easily accessible share buttons for anyone to use. You can usually just add a ShareThis or AddThis button to your pages and be done with it because both of those sharing systems can hit every major, and minor, social platform that your viewers likely have accounts on.
Social media sharing is something that is more common now than it was a few years ago. This is because people are treating their social media profiles as more of a billboard for stuff they like than their own personal profile of pictures and websites they own lol.
Get interviewed on popular news channels, even local ones
This won't happen for everyone since you need to be an authority and making waves in your industry before you get contacted for an interview. When you do start getting asked for interviews, be sure that you get linked back to your website from their blog or site in order to gain a natural backlink.
When you get interviewed by a news channel, local or national, you will likely get a link from them and it won't be niche specific. This isn't a big deal because you will be getting recognized by a news station who already has a high authority, and they are giving you a vote of confidence, which their viewers will take to heart and it will be easier to get new clients on board.
You can then link the interviews on your homepage or "Reviews" page to make your business be seen in a better light. Not everyone will look for your interviews if they come in from Facebook or the search engines, so by putting it in front of them, you'll show them you're an authority and they will open up their wallets
Outsource the work (Duh!)
If you don't have the time to do all of the work I mentioned above, but you have the money, you can always outsource everything to a credible company who can do it all. I actually have a few clients who let me act as a representative of their company and get interviewed for them, then I link everything together and make them, even more, money because their authority only gets better with each interview
You can have a web designer set up your sharing buttons and you can hire content writers to churn out amazing content for your website so you can sit back and focus on other things. Of course, you will likely have to outsource the content writing if you're a bad writer or have someone come in and configure your website for better conversions (sharing) if you don't know how to do it yourself, but that's not a big deal since you are already on SEOclerks.com and can find plenty of people to do this for you
In Conclusion
Getting natural backlinks isn't as easy as people make it seem. You need to entice people to build links for you, they won't do it on their own. You need to get those share buttons in front of them and even ask them for a share if you want. If you simply say "Please share this post if you love it. Thank You!" will increase the number of natural backlinks you'll be getting Outsourcing the work is what you should do if you don't have the time to do everything on your own. You can always do one or two of these on your own and just outsource a couple things, which is normal for business owners. Just be sure you're hiring quality freelancers or companies before you let them have access to your website or give them the green light for linking.
