Do you like interact with visitors to your blog / website?

Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ

Do you like interact with visitors to your blog / website?

The interaction can be a big differential in this type of business, but not all the people who have projects like blogs / websites value this type of approach (because they don't like it or don't have the time for it, for example) and end up hiring someone to do this type of work in their place.

How do you act in this situation? Are you the type who likes "to be" with the visitors or would you rather someone else do it for you? Do you like interact with visitors to your blog / website?

I interact a lot at Mylot, get lots of response from the members there. I also try to interact with my followers at other writing online sites except for blogger dot com because I don't get any comments there. Interacting with followers are important, to let them know that I appreciate their comments that keeps my post alive.

I was looking at this site (Mylot) yesterday - but I'm not a member there yet - and the platform seems to be pretty straightforward, however... The interaction level over there seems to be pretty high. But my question is: Are there many trolls or is the active membership base of people really know how to use the site?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cmoneyspinner
Trolls? No. It's a nice fun site with plenty discussions and plenty members who want to interact with each other. Make friends. Make money. You don't earn a ton of money. But the same thing you do on Facebook, people do on MyLot. Sometimes friendly chit-chat. Sometimes friendly advice. Sometimes intense discussion of controversial topics. It is a good site to use as a blog or to learn how to blog. The site has a lot of plusses. It has way more plusses than negatives. If you have not joined, sign up. It's free. You don't have to start a discussion. Just chime in on an ongoing conversation. You'll get paid for it. I've been there for 2 years. Have not seen hide nor hair of a troll.

It depends on what you mean by the term trolls. Am a member at the site and I must agree too that level of interaction over there is pretty high. Its a good platform and I haven't seen anything that seems or raises a red flag yet. If you engage more, then just maybe you might find answers yo whatever lingering doubts you have about MyLot.

wiseagent and DarthHazard - - Thank you both for empathizing and for sympathizing with me. 2017 has been a much better year for me. I have been more active in Facebook Groups and Google+ communities that support bloggers and people have been more willing to help me with sharing or promoting my post. I really started out with only the intention of being an affiliate marketer. But my daughter told me most people add a blog to their websites. That's how I got started blogging. But then I realized people had stand-alone blogs, didn't have a website, and just placed affiliate links as ads on their blog or within their blog content.

What I am finding is that my efforts to comment on the blogs of others works out better for me because I can add my blog URL to my Commenter's profile and backlink from those blogs to my blog. I don't know about you but I really the bloggers who use that CommentsLuv plugin. I was going to try to guest post, but then somebody introduced me to forums. My activity on the forums is generating more income than my blogs ever did. So now, getting comments at my stand alone blogs has sort of been pushed down on my priority list. But I keep my blogs going because I enjoy having a place to store my thoughts for the future.

Unfortunately, a lot of blog owners and website owners have to go through this. What type of site/blog do you have? Maybe we can try to help you out and give you some suggestions on how to improve your site/blog to get some more visitors so that you can interact with them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

LOL, getting visitors to comment on your blog posts is an art of it's own, because it's virtually impossible to get a site visitor that will drop a comment on your post just like that. But you need to be a craft master to perfect that art. The only time a visitor comments on blog post is usually when they want to complain, when they are payed or when you give them an offer they can't refuse.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Then I will have to figure out how to give them an offer they can't refuse. Working on it! Do you like interact with visitors to your blog / website?

It's really frustrating when you have the zeal to do more but the sluggish nature of beginnings in everything tends to take its toll. You are eager and looking forward to having a great time conversing and interacting with your visitors but it's (visitors) aren't really showing up. Just relax and take your time, keep doing a good job and with time, things would change for good.

Agree. I'm not one of those fortunate ones who were able to pick a blog that publishes entries that thousands of other people seem really interested in talking about.

I follow this blog called Abagond | 500 words a day on whatever I want
( https://abagond.wordpress.com ).

What a name for a blog huh? Why didn't I think of that?! The blogger gets lots of comments. I can only keep hoping for such success. Do you like interact with visitors to your blog / website?

I have a blog/forum and I am always interacting. I don't comment on every post but I like almost every post and I reply to a lot of threads. I don't want to reply to every thread because then the forum would seem unnatural. So I reply to whatever thread interests me.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Heatman
I can attest to this, you are definitely good at being interactive in a well mannered and respectful way. I totally agree that replying all posts or comments would definitely make the forum seem too unnatural.

Hopefully, I would definitely get a blog/forum of my own sooner than later and all that I have learnt so far you and others would come very handy for me.

I sometimes post in blogs that I read especially those written in a personal tone. And when I leave a comment, I am gratified to find a reply. Replying to a comment is a must particularly if the commenter is a regular reader. Interaction with the readers create an intimate atmosphere that is well appreciated by readers like me. But if the blogger never reacts to my comments then I would probably lose interest in commenting although I may continue visiting the blog depending on the articles.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I tend to interact "artificially" with sporadic visitors (to make it clear that his / her presence is important) and more "personally" with visitors who are more frequent (because in that case, the tone of the conversation provides this kind of interaction and everything sounds more normal).

On my VA website I am making use of the talk.to widget. This widget allows the users to interact with me. And that can be surely one good option. Though I don't recommend this option for all websites. Because it increases the loading time. And people need to be mindful of that. It just makes things a bit harder. So on that context it'd be reasonable to make sure that you're making use of the contact form instead. And also have the chat option widget on the contact page. That is more than enough in that case.

It depends really, as some visitors don't leave a comment and somewhat do leave a comment is often spam. But I have had a few interactions and when they are from real members who want to comment I interact back with them. So depends really on who wants to interact, if it is a spammer I don't have time for them I just class as spam and delete.

In regards to my forums, I want to get into discussions - but not too much. In other words, I don't want to be an attention hound. In that case, it would make my forums look foolish. Therefore, I want to allow others to speak up most of the time. Nonetheless, there is this blog (one I don't own) where I am an attention hound, but it's because the owner bans so many commentators that I'm one of the only few left.

Interacting with one's visitors gives a blog or a site this personal touch, one can't just go wrong with this method of blogging because it a way of drawing unique visitors to one's blog. Some people could repeat a blog because of the owner's personality.Could be the way queries are answered or the ways answers are given.Whichever it good to interact with visitors to a page.

I like interacting with those who visit my blog. Many of the visitors also gave me ideas about what to write on blog. The problem is that nowadays I am not really active on my blog and the traffic to my blog has reduced. I really want to start posting again but I am taken up in some urgent work.

But do you treat sporadic visitors the same way you treat regular visitors? Or in your opinion that doesn't make the slightest difference?

P.S.: I'm referring to the fact that you interact with them.

I love interacting with my visitors and readers since I feel like that adds an extra touch to your blog or website. If you personally interact then the visitors will value it far more compared to having somebody else hired for this aspect of the business. I just find it fun because it brings me closer to my audience and shows how much I care. But I can understand why some website owners can't do it if they have many other things to deal with and are very busy.

I would put interacting with blog commenters into the category of reputation marketing. If someone takes the time to comment on a blog entry, it provides social proof that the content has value. By quickly responding to comments, questions or concerns, a blog owner is showing that they value the engagements, which will help encourage others to engage. It also shows that the blog owner values their visitors and the relationship is not onesided. It is also my understanding that Google uses comments as an SEO single for determining popularity and credibility. So, I would always recommend replying to every comment unless the post and site generate so many comments that it is impossible to keep up.

I always like to interact with the visitors and users to my site. My gaming platform (which is still under development) will have a blog, a forum and various different sections where users can leave comments. Personally, I think that it is important to interact with your users because it gives the impression that you value your users and that they are important. It also allows you to have some good discussions and interactions with your users which may encourage them to use your site much more.

Communicating with visitors to a blog makes it an interactive session between the owner and the visitor. It gets tough when there are lots of visitors, but it is good to communicate always with them

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DarthHazard
Definitely. That is the one problem with big blogs or sites because it makes communicating and interacting with your visitors and users a lot harder. It can be hard because of how many comments and posts come through from your users so you will barely have time to read them all and to respond to each and every single one of them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Barida
Yeah, that is the issue of having a bigger community of members on the blog. In the long run, that is going to make the owner of the blog/website to lose track of talking with most of the members.

I do interact from time to time because I'm generally pretty busy and I can't do it all the time but once in a while I take the time. I actually meet a person who owned a book related blog and she ended up having a "rebelion" in her own page! just because she just interact to leave negative comments and to boss around people. At the end everyone left and those people end up creating another forum with similar content.

Well for the time being I don't have a blog/website up and running, but I do intend on having one up soon. That being said, I don't have an idea of how I would interact with visitors. I know it is practically impossible to do so if you get a lot of traffic, but I personally would love to interact with each and every person myself. I think if you have someone who is a dedicated fan of your content, it would mean a lot to them to receive a message from the person behind the work. Not to mention that interacting with the people that keep your community alive is essential to having your website thrive.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Having no interaction at all is so boring. I mean, imagine sitting for hours writing up material with nobody to respond to it. In that case, it's even worse than a book report, because at least that will be graded and maybe commented on. Therefore, I conclude that forum replies and blog comments make writing so much more fun, more than you could imagine.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes I do agree with you. It would be sad and embarrassing if there isn't any readers to comment on my blog. It shows the lack of traffic and failure. Forum sites and social medias are better alternative ways to promote external traffic to my blog.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Hahah, It's even more worse when you don't get the clicks to use and compensate yourself for the hard work you used in pulling of the content up. It makes one to feel real bad and the feeling of giving up start creeping in.

Well, I'm currently running an all topic forum. Generally speaking, I have to write a lot of content given the forum is pretty much new with roughly 200 members. Because of that, engagement is very crucial with my articles. Along with my interaction after they initially engage with these articles. Personally, I don't suggest doing it every time. However, nothing is wrong with elaborating on some replies made by your visitors. After all, their engagement is keeping your blog/website alive in the first place. So in my mind, the idea is to keep the conversation rolling altogether.

Engagement, activity, and quality content!

Interaction is unarguably one of the key factor for making a blog or website successful in terms of foreign content, appreciating your users/followership and in someway driving traffic to the site. So I think it's very important to interact with your site's visitors wether an active user or not.

As for me, I try as much as possible to interact with every visitor on my site.

Yes, I'd like to interact and keep in communication with my visitor if ever I have a website and blogsite of my own. Yes, I interact with the people who visit my website! I don't have a comment section since it's about my video services, but I do have a contact box that people can fill out to get in touch with me if they're interested in my services. It goes straight to my email which I check regularly, so I am in contact with them very quickly usually. I think interaction with people on your site adds to your professionalism.

Interaction with new visitors or members to ones blog/forum or any other social media platform seems to be a very good tool in allowing the owner of such platform bond well with its members, and this breeds a sense of commitment by both parties in the forum.

I'm yet to have a forum/blog of my own but in my other social networking media pages, I try as much as I can to reply the comments that I take interest in, which is definitely worth replying to.

Having an interactive website is very good for your blog. Forums and discussions are opportunities for you to develop and improve your website. Opening doors to your readers would suggest how you welcome them as part of your community. So take it positively and listen. Having an open mind is always good for you.

It's the responsibility and duty of any forum runner, webmaster, site owner or online company CEO to interact with their visitors when the opportunity presents itself. Especially if they have a question or suggestion. To not do so makes no sense. You may not always enjoy the interaction, because some people have differing personalities, rough around the edges, professional trolls and what not. But what I've learned is if you handle a sketchy visitor with a chip on their shoulder or one who is having trouble communicating to you what they want or are looking for, the right way? That goes a long way in keeping your audience long term and even gaining new visitors.

Interacting with your website or blog visitors can help a lot in boosting sales. It encourages visitors and makes them rely on you since they know they have access to you at all times. Communicating with visitors saves them from any unnecessary doubt that may prevent them from coming back. Experienced internet marketers understand and apply this strategy into their business and generate more sales than those who don't apply it.

I do interact with the visitors to my blogs--I think that this is an important practice. Sometimes, they have very specific questions. They sometimes post their ideas and queries publicly, and often they send comments to me privately through email. I think that ir is good customer service and just good human practice to respond to people when they reach out to you. Sure, we want to boost traffic and sales, but common courtesy also comes into play, if you ask me. I would hope for and/or expect the same from a blog that I was interacting with regularly as well.

I like interacting with my visitors. It is good to get to understand their views and also be able to share yours with them. I like to interact with my readers and visitors. I interact on social networking sites, social bookmarking sites, writing sites where I have published my works, forums where I post frequently. I also interact with the commentators on my blog posts. Interaction is key to make your one time visitor a regular visitor, one-time commentator to a frequent commentator, one time client to a long term client, and one-time buyer to frequent buyer.

Reacting to the comments to you blog is a must for a blogger because that is one way of engaging the readers to increase the content of your web page. The longer the comment, the better for you and that is good enough reason to encourage readers to post their comments. One trick that I had learned is to solicit a suggestion from the readers like what they know about caring for a pet that is not common or how do they handle a vicious dog. When the reader has something to share about the subject then he may have the tendency to post a comment.
