In todays world it's much easier to collect data on people's habits, their wants and also their needs. Analytics are like a treasure box of information that we can utilize for our own benefits and bring in people who will be more willing to open up their check books. Many marketers are switching to data-driven strategies so that they can understand who exactly their customers are. figure out your customer and you can replicate that information and make many more sales
Below are 9 ways you can use your marketing data to gain more customers
1. Setting up your buyer personas
Technology in todays marketing field has advanced a lot compared to what it was 10 years ago. Now you can easily collect information from your visitors in order to set up something called a persona. By using a persona and marketing to it properly, you can likely see an increase in conversions in a short amount of time.
By segmenting types of people and showing them specific ads, you will increase your conversions 2 to 5 times higher than what you're currently doing. We all know that one ad won't convert everyone, unless it was giving away free money lol. You'll need to show ads to specific personas in order to increase the conversions of those sets of people. A kid won't want to see a home mortgage loan ad when he's searching your website, so show them something about toys lol. Obviously if you have a home mortgage website and you're showing toys, you're doing something wrong, but I wanted to give you a type of example.
2. Make your landing pages do the work for you
If you're putting up 10 different landing pages on your website, you should be targeting 10 different keywords. One keyword for each landing page works well. This also works well if you're targeting specific industries like dentists, plumbers, gyms, etc. I have a client that wanted to target multiple businesses for his B2B website. We set up various landing pages and targeted specific industries in order to have the landing pages convert at a higher percentage than just sending everyone to the homepage.
By doing this, we increased his conversions from 25 a month to 150 a month. Not a bad jump if I say so myself
3. The use of facebook custom audiences
We all know what Facebook is, but did you know it has almost 2,000,000,000 active users each month? Did you also know that they work with huge data aggrigators that know where you're making purchases in your day to day operations? Knowing these two things shows me that I can get extremely targeted when it comes to my ads on facebook, which I love a lot
Using facebooks custom audiences will allow you to track your current customers and then target people just like them. Doing this will almost always help out with your sales and increase your profits
4. Giving the customer a deal
A whole lot of consumers will look for a coupon prior to even visiting a retailers website, a whopping 85% of them. You can use this information to set up coupons for your potential clients and getting them into your website. Knowing where they look for coupons is the first step and beating your competitions coupons is the second
You'll obviously need to track redemption rates and see which coupons are working best. Some coupons will need to be deleted while others will need to be pushed more to the public.
5. Bring your customers back in
To do this, you'll need to re-target them in order to bring them back. This means that you will already have traffic on your website and when they leave there is a good chance that a cookie will activate on their journey and show them an ad for your website. They will think "Hey, I was just on this website but I didn't buy anything. Let me give them a second look!" and it works pretty well when you want to increase your sales.
You can get even more specific and set up ads for the majority of your services and tailor the re-targeting ads to show what the user was viewing at the time they left your website. This works extremely well because it's like you're re-lighting their love for your product lol.
6. Boost up your emailing
When we went over setting up personas for your clients and visitors, I bet you didn't think "Hey, I can use this for emailing as well!" because not many people do lol. What you can do is use those personas to help you send out much better emails. This means your emailing will get opened more and you will get more sales because of it. If they get to your website and leave, your re-targeting kicks in eventually and could pull them back in
Use the data you have in order to personalize the emails as much as possible. Personalizing it as much as possible without seeming too eager will always win in email marketing
7. Know when to post something
Many people just post when they log onto their social media platforms, websites, blogs, ppc platforms, etc. But what if I told you that your peak hours aren't even when you're online? About 9 years ago I had a website that made me more money when I was asleep than it ever did when I was awake. This is because my website was much more popular over seas and they would purchase from me while I was asleep at night, but it was daytime in their time zones.
You'll be able to set up a PPC campaign and figure out when you get the most clicks throughout the day. Obviously you'll want to get super targeted in order to attract your ideal customer, otherwise you'll get 300 clicks from India while you're asleep and that won't be great data if you're selling only to the US lol.
8. Use Display or Banner ads
I've done this method a lot in the past years, especially when I had gotten banned from Adwords for a long time lol. I would go over to buysellads and purchase niche related banners to bring in customers. Some websites worked while others tanked pretty hard, but I would have never known what worked and what didn't if I hadn't tried.
You'll obviously need to get targeted with this as well. You can't put an SEO service banner on a dog grooming website because you won't get any conversions. The only conversion you might get is the dog grooming website becuase they're the only person with an actual website that saw your ad lol
9. Optimize your paid search ads
When I tell you to optimize them, I'm not saying to do this for the search engine rankings, because no matter how well they're optimized for search results they won't boost your website lol. I'm saying that you will need to optimize your ads in order to increase your conversions. Know what works and what doesn't in order to get some additional clicks and make some more money.
If you use your data the right way, you will know what your users want to see. This will keep you ahead of your competition and get a good amount of the traffic. And if your website is optimized for those visitors, you're now working with a well oiled sales funnel
In Conclusion:
By following the above 9 tips, you will be able to convert your visitors more often because you'll be utilizing all the data at your finger tips. No successful person will blindly get rich, they use the data that has been aggrigated and benefit from it with increased sales.

Anyways Razzy, the other points are well made and good advice on which anyone can increase their conversion rates, traffic, and overall profit. Thank you! It all starts with personas. This is what I always say at the start of every project, new or existing, doesn't matter, you have to develop a clear list of personas on which you will build all of you marketing campaigns on, but personas can help not only with marketing but with SEO too! Anyways Razzy, the other points are well made and good advice on which anyone can increase their conversion rates, traffic, and overall profit. Thank you!
