10 more conversion rate optimization tricks to help you profit online
If you read my last discussion "10 conversion rate optimization tricks to help you make more money" I bet you didn't think it was a 2 parter. Well it is, and I'm here to go over 10 more conversion rate optimization tricks that I thought of as I submitted my last discussion for you all
Conversion rate optimization isn't something you can just do overnight. You will need some data prior to refining everything into a perfect system, but that will come over time so don't worry.
Some of these little tricks may seem obvious to you, but they might help others out along their "making money online" journey. And if you've been keeping up with a lot of my posts, you know that I like to help others when I can, even if I'm not doing it directly
Well lets get into it, shall we.
10 additional conversion rate optimization tricks
1. Set up an automated email system
Now this is pretty standard when you're collecting emails from your users, but did you know that you shouldn't just pitch them within your first email? A lot of new people to this industry will just pitch, pitch, pitch and pitch some more which results in your email list dwindling over time to almost nothing. You will need to send out emails/newsletters that are just informational. Link to your blog posts so people can come in and read what you're recently written. You don't want to pitch in every email because that's not what people signed up for. They signed up for a news letter, not a marketing or advertisement letter which will end up looking like spam. If you're just linking to your recent blog posts, people will come in to read them and Oh Look! You just so happen to have links to your sales pages within or next to that blog post
Do you get it? You can still sell to your newsletter people without actually doing it in the email
2. Use your own images and videos.
You should avoid stock photographs and videos if possible because it will just make you look fake. People can spot a stock photo from a mile away, and if they see you using them, they will think that you didn't take the time to customize anything you're trying to do with your website and they will leave.
3. Avoid the cluttered pages
You want to get right to the point on your sales pages, you don't want to spam it up with dozens of different offers. People usually think "If I have multiple offers on the same page, the user is likely to enjoy one of them!" but that's wrong because you're just making your page look like spam and that pushes those users away.
4. Remove any blockade possible
Now this will take some tweaking in order to get it right, but this is a major thing when it comes to making a sale. You will need to work on your pricing, your wording, your turn around times, etc. in order to make the user feel at ease with their purchase. If the person knows they can get a product from a different website for a little cheaper, why would they buy from you? Even if you can't drop your pricing, make it irresistible to the person on your website so they want to buy from you at a higher price.
5. Use scarcity to your advantage
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Have you ever seen the "Hot Item" around Christmas time? It's usually some dumb toy that costs people $200+ and shouldn't be more than $20 lol. In the 80's it was cabbage patch kids, in the 90's it was beanie babies and most recently it was those dumb hatchimals.
If you know you can leverage your scarcity, then do it. Put a limit to how many products or services you can offer and it will urge people to buy. They will have a sense of urgency because they time it ticking down and you won't be able to get any more clients or products (even if you can). Use words like "Limited Time Offer!" or "Expires Tomorrow!" or even "Only XX more new signs ups allowed this month!" and people will start to sign up. Of course you'll get those people who have to watch the numbers dwindle before they sign up, but that's normal.
6. Have a good guarantee, and stick to it
People will always complain about pricing, even if you're the lowest in the market. If you're pairing your items or service with a rock solid guarantee, they will more than likely purchase because they know they can get a new item or service if the first was defective. Or they can just get a refund by sending back the item (doesn't work with services really).
7. Have some free or discounted Add-Ons
We all know that some free add-ons are going to entice people to purchase something from us. A good example of this is one of my newer backlink services that I sell solely on my website for $50 is paired up with a free tiered linking plan that I sell for $15. So essentially they're getting $15 of free work and it benefits them a lot, so they are more likely to sign up
Pairing up your add-ons with related products or services will entice people to purchase from you.
8. Urgency is key
Now remember, this method works well with physical products if you only have so many you can sell and doesn't work as well with digital products. But what if I told you there was a small loop hole that you could use to show urgency for digital products?
Have you ever heard of a countdown timer? Of course you have lol. You can set up something like this on a service page of your website and when the timer hits 00:00:00 then no one else can sign up. Of course you'll get people saying "Well I was only 45 minutes late, can I get one still?" and your answer will always be "Well I can't do that, the offer was live for 5 days and you didn't sign up. You can watch for the next one and we will gladly work with you. But for right now we're filled to the brim on clients and can't take on any more
" lol
9. Add some exclusiveness to your offer
If you have an offer that is exclusive, people will more than willing sign up if possible. To do this best you'll need to know exactly what you're demographic is all about. Just throwing some exclusivity on an item or service won't do much if you're targeting is off
Make a portion of your service exclusive to members only. This will encourage others to sign up in order to have a chance at getting the good stuff lol
10. The use of video sales letters
Now most of us will use sales copy on your pages to convert someone. What if I told you that you could simply turn all that text into a video and it would convert much better? Well it's pretty simple, and you can hire people here at SEOclerks.com to do the video for you. Just give them the text and they will record a video in order for you to use it on your next website, or your current one
In Conclusion:
There are many ways to optimize your conversion rates and I've listed the ones that I use the most. I'm hoping that you can implement one, two, or all of these in order to boost your sales x10
