Have you ever hired an SEO specialist?

Hello everybody,

I've been doing SEO for a few months now and I'm still learning a lot as I do different gigs - all that I've learned so far is basically through the internet, reading articles, and following guides. So far, I never hired any SEO specialist for my blog or my two websites. It was very tempting to especially at the start though since it can save a lot of time if you have somebody to do it for you.

I am curious if you guys have ever hired an SEO specialist and how did it go? Were you satisfied with the things that they've done for your websites and how much did they improve your overall ranking on the search engines?

I wouldn't say that I am great with search engine optimisation. I am still learning quite a few different things about search engine optimisation as I am developing my own site and won't be able to use any ready made search engine optimisation plugins like Wordpress has. But I don't think I will ever hire a search engine optimisation specialist to be honest. There is a lot of content and articles online that mention everything that you need to do and I just don't see the need to pay someone to suggest the same things.

Like you, I am also a student of SEO methods because I have plans of being an SEO specialist. Providing SEO work can make me earn way much more than what I am earning now in paid forum posting. But I don’t know if I could offer services for SEO work before the year ends because there are still a lot of lessons to be learned especially the skills in building backlinks.

I never have, but I would not be adverse to it either. I think I could find someone that could do my SEO affordably and that would be something to look forward to in the future. I don't have the extra cash to do it, and there is plenty of free information available on the web so I don't think it is critical to have one.

I have gone through various tutorials about SEO and have learnt a great deal. I don't think that I need an SEO specialist right now as I can do all my SEO works. However, I am not an expert in SEO and if ever I need someone in the future then I will definitely hire one.

Well, I have never hired an SEO specialist before, because my friend is an expert so he takes care of the SEO, of our websites.
But it's always recommended to get an SEO expert for your websites and bussiness, so you can be able to compete on Cyber Space. Or if you don't have the bucks, you can learn some few tips online and smear it out yourself . Have you ever hired an SEO specialist?

I don't know if subcontracting qualifies for this questions scenario. I have done a lot of subcontracting from multiple online freelancing sites. And my experience so far is good. Though I got duped on the backlinks part almost every time. So I stopped going for the backlinks. Instead we choose to go with the content marketing and the social media. In fact that seems to be working out for me way better. So I may not hire SEO specialist as a whole agency. But would break the task and hire based on the module.

I did this a few times when I was starting out my blog, although I didn't particularly hire employees but just acquired services from a few SEO freelancers. I did get what I paid for, which was extra amount of traffic, but since I am not well versed with online marketing, especially at that time, I don't know how much of the publicity I got from that service and how much was derived only through my own actions. I think it did help somewhat though as my site was placed on searches and probably a lot of those actions I never would have been able to achieve just by doing all the work myself, and now that I've paid for the services and the job is done, it's one task I don't have to worry about anymore.

Hire an SEO specialist is the best thing you can do because it makes easier your work. He or she would research and analyze competitor advertising links, will recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords and will develop and implement link building strategy. The SEO specialist will make your website show up at the top of the search engine results.

I have never hired a SEO specialist, because I have never seen the need to. If you build good quality content your website will rank high in google without a SEO specialist and you can save your hard earned money. And fyi just because you hire a SEO specialist doesn't mean you're going to be #1 in google searches and if you do get the number 1# spot it doesn't mean you're going to stay at the number 1# spot.

I have ever hired some SEO specialist for my sites but I realized that that was not effective for my website and I myself did SEO for my sites and they even are better when hiring a SEO specialist, at this time, they are growing on search engine results daily.

I agree with most of the people that left messages on this forum about SEO. Keep in mind that there are different levels of SEO. Many local
business owners are usually trying to rank Organically when they really
only need to rank locally. Google has been trying to show many local
business owners that if they just set up their websites, directories and
online and offline SEO campaigns for local traffic as opposed to
organic traffic they would do just as good if not better! Local SEO with
the correct website page setup, LSI, long-tail keywords and well
researched and written content will many times get you more traffic then
your business can probably handle without having to spend as much on
SEO as you think.

I agree that you can save time if you let another person do the SEO work for you. For me, I would probably hire an SEO specialist if my website is big enough to cover the expenses. But for a small website, I would probably just persevere in doing the SEO work myself because providing a budget for a hired person is not cheap. I know that we have to study and learn the SEO methods but that will come later when there is a need for it.
