Using Facebook Page to avoid posting excessive ads

For those who are not using Facebook Page, what they do ispost their ads on their timeline. It’s not just everyday but every once in a
while. I have unfollowed friends who were posting more than 5 ads in a day on
their timeline because it is already annoying. My advice is to create a
Facebook page where they can post the details of their business. And on their
timeline, they can post once a day the link to that page. And so as not to be
annoying with that daily posting of the link, try to be creative. A post of the
link about your business can be better if there is a short story related to
current events. For example – When North Koreabombs Guam, prices will shoot up so grab thisopportunity now, see my page for details.

I don't use my personal account to promote my business. I prefer to keep my personal and business account separate. I have a Facebook page and that's where I share about my products and advertise too. So far I have been successful. I have to agree with you that it can be annoying to see many ads from the same person.

I share and agree with this. Best thing to do is to keep them separated. Otherwise your personal account will be a mess, literally. And yes ads can be very annoying, so getting all of them in your personal every 5 minutes is going to be a pain! My sister runs her small business through social media including Facebook, she uses ads too, so I know by experience that having separate accounts is the rule to follow.

It really is encouraging to unfriend people on your account once they start using their personal accounts to promote businesses or products especially on a daily basis. I would unfollow them in the meantime but likewise I would suggest to them that they make an actual Facebook page for their business wherein they could just ask their friends to like the page. I would not mind seeing a business page promoting it services but it really does bug me to see personal accounts repetitively promoting their products and services.

I agree. Pages are better for the same reason. I have seen many people spamming some products and ads. Like say lot of them are into MLM and other schemes. And lot of them just spam their ads. So that can be surely bad. You have to find out ways to minimize such spamming. And for this reason you can see that pages and groups are better.

That is exactly why I have two different Facebook accounts. I've made a business one ages ago when I realized how much-untapped traffic there is on the social media platforms. But I completely agree with you. If I had somebody spam me 5 ads per day, I would 100% unfriend them. It's really annoying and not necessary at all. A good marketer and advertiser will pick peak times of the day to post his/her ads. They will never spam them, that's a beginners mistake.

Precisely, it's annoying to see lots of ads for their business in a friend's personal Facebook account.
It would be better indeed to just post the link to the business FB page rather than advertising it on their personal FB account.
I have a friend who has a second-hand clothing, bags and shoe business and she created a separate account for this. She would just put the link in her personal FB account and say that she has new items to sell.
Thus, for those interested they can just go to her business account.

I tried this method but issue here is that the type of pages if identified as a business. Facebook limits their reach. So as that will give them more advertisers. But it can be used as a way to sell your products. I think that does work out in many ways. I am sure that in future things can change with facebook groups too. You may want to try that out for the groups as that also brings some product sales.

Yes, spamming is never good no matter how it is done. People have gotten very tired of someone very quickly when they have done this. I think just having a limited number of ads up is good. Even using a platform like Facebook you have to be aware of how many ads you are posting and how it is going to be perceived.

It's actually a pretty good business because a lot of businesses and freelancers will pay you good money to advertise their product/service or business. It can get annoying and you risk losing a lot of friends on Facebook but I guess that is why people tend to only do this if they have stopped using Facebook forever. I know that a lot of page owners do this as well but again they can risk losing a lot of followers/page likes if they start to post absolutely irrelevant things onto the page.

It may look annoying to you but you can't really do anything about it - well actually you can, you just said it - unfollow them. Posting ads on Facebook is one of the main reasons why people tend to use that social network as their marketing place since they connect to a lot of people they know locally and internationally.
