Baby steps into Social Media Management
Everyone knows what social media management is and if you don't, you're probably living under a really nice rock. It can be a daunting task when you're a newly formed business or just starting out online, but don't worry, Uncle Razzy is here to hold your hand through the process lol
When you're starting out with SMM it can seem like there are 900,000 things to do when it comes to posting the right content and managing everything on social media profiles, such as:
- Posting the right content
- Adding the perfect pictures
- Adding the right links to posts
- Posting at the right times
- Monitoring your click throughs
- Tracking your sales through social media
- Figuring out what gets liked, shared and commented on the most
... this list can go on forever lol
It can get very overwhelming at first, but you don't have to worry too much. Just get super focused on one platform and develop your profile well enough so that you know exactly what to do, when to do it and how to track the performance of your work. It's not easy getting into social media management if you've only done posts on your personal Facebook account that only have videos of kittens playing around. Yes, it's very adorable but in the end you're not going to be able to do the same thing for your business.
Separate yourself from your business and don't think that what you find funny, everyone else will. Stick within your niche and post what you know your audience is interested in. Don't go crazy right at the start, you'll want to post slowly to analyze everything and figure out what works best. If you post 3 times to your business's facebook page and only one of them gets likes, it's due to something that you can figure out. Check the times of when you posted, check what you posted and figure out why they are clicking. It could be as simple as posting when everyone is on lunch or even the image you used which encouraged clicks.
Once you master one platform, move onto the next and start dominating that one while still posting to the first. You'll be doing this until you get through all of your social profiles and are mastering everything which will bring in a good amount of traffic and sales
You can get so far down the road doing everything yourself that you might want to look into automating some things. You can look into something like HootSuite.com and have everything scheduled over the course of a week or a month, it's up to you. You can sit down for a day and schedule your months worth of social media posts, but be sure to not ignore the comments and people mentioning you or sharing your posts. You need to be involved at all times when it comes to social media management, don't forget that
Treat your audience like they are all paying customers and they will return the favor by hitting that like button or sharing you post without you asking
In Conclusion:
Social media marketing is not an easy thing to do, but you can if you're diligent and persistent
Get to work social medai marketer and start bringing in that sweet traffic
It will take time to build up your profiles, so don't get discouraged if it's taking you a few months to start seeing a decent amount of engagement on your posts. It will come and you will be able to see all your hard work is paying off

I liked the idea "Figuring out what gets liked, shared and commented on the most." We should always share the content that is getting response. I confront with the idea "posting on the right time." On social media, it is very likely that you have friends and followers from around the world. Because of the difference in time zone, your working hours may be sleeping hours for your follower/friend from social media. I liked the idea "Figuring out what gets liked, shared and commented on the most." We should always share the content that is getting response.
