Putting ads on your website is one of the main ways to make money from blogging. What if I told you that those ads aren't guaranteed to make you any money? Usually these types of ads, such as adsense, are needed to be clicked by your users, which doesn't happen all the time. Another reason you might not make money from ads is because you will need an insane amount of traffic to receive enough views or clicks in order to turn a profit.
If you spread out the methods of generating money through your blog, you will have a much better success rate at monitizing your blog for profits. Below I'm going to go over a few different ways to make money from your blog without posting ads all over the place.
Sell Products on Your Blog:
If you have a blog or website you can always post links to your own products in order to make a profit from each sale. You can even design t shirts and put them on teespring or something like that in order to get a decent amount of sales and then withdraw your profits later on.
Another way is to brand some products that would be good for people in your niche and offer them to anyone. If your users love your website they will be more willing to purchase the items
Sell Merchandise on Your Blog:
Just like mentioned above, you can sell items that are listed on websites like CafePress. This allows you to add your logos to hundreds of different items which people can purchase. This is a great way to make money from your blog because you can price the items at whatever you want, as long as it's above the wholesale price.
Ask for Donations on Your Blog:
When asking for donations, it can't hurt to try lol. You won't see a whole ton of people donating to your website, but there will definitely be a few if you write up great content and answer questions
Guest Posting Services:
A lot of bloggers will do guest posts at not charge to the other websites, but there are some platforms that will actually pay you for your posts. If you do a simple search on Google for "get paid for guest posting" then you'll likely get a good list of places that will pay you for great content. Now you'll have to prove yourself prior to getting accepted, and even then, there's no guarantee that your post will get accepted after submission.
Sell Your Own eBook:
If you have gotten yourself to be seen as an authority within your niche, you can likely write up an eBook and sell it to your following. You can write it up and sell it directly on your own blog. People will likely share the link to buy the book, which will obviously increase your sales
Become a Professional Blogger:
You can actually get noticed by some of the bigger websites within your niche just by blogging on your own site. You'll have to post amazing content and get people reading every word you type. You will need to put it out there that you are available for blogging positions and how you can be contacted. You'd be amazed at how many companies will contact you through your contact us form and want you to be an author on their company blog
You can apply for plenty of blogging jobs within your niche and link back to your own blog as an example of your writing. If you have a blog loaded with great content, you're already ahead of the other people who applied
Apply for Different Jobs:
When you blog for a while you will pick up unique skills that can't really be taught. You will now be able to apply for a variety of jobs that have to do with content, primarily ad copy for websites
Become a Consultant to Others:
When you finally become an authority in your niche you will be able to offer consulting to anyone who's willing to pay you. I've actually done this in the past, but for SEO, and it pays pretty well If you were to do it for blogging you could get paid to teach peopel how to do proper posts, how often to do them, how to optimize them and a whole slew of other tasks
Blogging isn't as easy as it sounds and big corporations will hire you to teach their staff how to do proper blogging
In Conclusion:
All you have to do is think outside of the box a little bit and it's will become apparent on how easy it is to make money from blogging. You could take the easy route and post loads of content on your blog then ad some BuySellAds placements on your pages, but that only limits you to how much you can make Strive to be the best and make more money without posting ads
