Reddit for advertising

I understand some marketers do an excellent job working Reddit! What is the best approach to this for Shopify or affiliate marketing?

Reddit users make use of Adblockers. And often they block the ads. So display advertising may not work. And considering most of the browsers make use of the adblockers from the browser itself. It'd be bad to use display images as ads. You can however make use of the sponsored content. I think many people making use of IAMA and sponsor some content there. Mostly it can be good for boosting your articles and landing pages.

I've definitely noticed the negative effect of Adblockers on Reddit. So instead now I mainly focus on implementing affiliate marketing onto platforms like Facebook and Instagram..

Yes that seems to be the case with almost everyone. I have seen many advertisers have stopped using reddit for same reason. I have realized that it can be really bad to use adblockers. As many sites stop working due to this way. Instead they should do some other options when it comes to promoting the stuff. That's what I think so far.

If only there was a way to advertise without having adblockers infer. I wouldn't be surprised if someone is already trying to build a system like this that can bypass adblockers.

There seems to be two options where one can avoid adblockers. I have found stopadblock and admiral. These two plugins if used you can stop the adblocker. Some of those plugins are also coming up with their subscription based software. And this way you can see that it can add up more options for the advertisers. I think such plugins are definitely needed for sure.

Personally, I've tried Reddit. It is a very different beast than, let's say, facebook or instagram.
I personally did not like it's format and it wasn't as effective for my like the other social media platforms.

I agree with Iamhero as it is very difficult to do it through Reddit. It is better to use other social media networks for this purpose. I prefer to do this task through Twitter and Facebook. Its interface is too hard to deal with. Most of the people over there are trying to rank high with the help of unfair means.

There was a time when Reddit was on the top but the things are changed now. Advertising needs exposure and it depends on the visitors. Every internet user must visit the Twitter and Facebook. There you can get the relevant and targeted audience for your product.

as Overcast has already stated, reddit users typically use adblockers, or at least a lot of them do. I used to advertise my youtube content there and despite a lot of views, I've noticed I was barely getting any monetized views. Most of the reddit community do not like you to promote content there either, they hate self-promoters and would often bash you for doing so.

Reddit users use Adblocker, so I don't think it's good to do so.

As you said, Reddit users use Adblocker, I have used Reddit a few years back but I gave up on it because it didn't help me at all. Now I prefer to use Facebook or Twitter to advertise my business, and believe me I can see the positive results from these two social media sites. I don't recommend using Reddit at all!

Not only Reddit but on almost of sites everyone is using Adblocker so your banner ads will not show up.
In my personal opinion, we should find forums in relevant niches to advertiser our sites so it will more cheaper and better than Reddit Reddit for advertising

Here comes the issue of ad blockers again which means Reddit is not a good place for advertising. What exactly is display images, is it the advertisement in the form of an image? Anyway, my question is about the ad blockers because it has been haunting my mind ever since I had read about it in this site. What if the ad blockers of the internet browsers become powerful that no advertisement can enter the page that the user is browsing unless it has the permission of the user? Will that be the end of advertising in the internet?
