"I have 3000 subscribers but I don't earn a single cent.."

"Huge email list and 20K visitors per month. Still can't understand how I can make money."

I guess you've heard it or at least read it too, right?

Depending on WHO you ask, you will obviously get different answers.. However, what I will do hear, is to shed some light upon this subject, and hopefully, others will reply in here with their tips and suggestions too.

So, you have a list, a huge list even, but you can't earn money?

Who are your visitors?
Why do they visit your site?
Do you provide a solution for their problems?
How do you solve their problems?
Can you do something else?

By the time you have these answers, then you'll be able to sell a product they want. When you sell something they're interested in, then you'll make money. - It's actually very easy to understand this, as it's logical, but many people don't really understand or realize this.

I am busy building my list now and I am hoping to be able to start making more use of it this year coming. I do need to learn more about email marketing.

At the moment my main goal is just building my list and my mommy blog list is about 2000 subscribers right now. I have my blog set up so every time I publish a new post it emails my subscribers. I get some nice traffic this way, but I know I am not making full use of my lists yet.

2000 subscribers is a fantastic number Lynne.. And I bet you'll go for another 1,000 subscribers during 2017.

Just imagine all the affiliate income you can make from your list in time.. That's amazing

I had several web-sites up and running in about 1994/5 and one had over 1,000 members (a lot at the time) but i could not work out how to make a single penny and closed the site after losing interest in the project.

People are suffering information overload when it comes to information and won't even read the emails even if the spam blocks don't block them first and they won't pay for information for the most part so you need a real physical product to ship if you ask me to make a nice profit but i am no expert in this field but have managed to write a little bit of code that can send bulk emails from a mail.com account if i wanted to do a bit of spamming for some reason because many of the email spam servers are blocked already and little gets out from what i have seen.

I think one of the best ways is to have something that can be sold through your blog or site, be it products or services, and then when you email your subscribers you could be increasing your chances of getting some of them purchasing and there could be a commission for you.

It does not actually matter whether your list is huge or small. What matters exactly is the people in your list. Unless your subscribers are genuinely interested in your product or services, your email campaign will not convert properly. If you have a list of 5000 emails but just one percent converts than you are not having good sales.

I think niche and the money making is a kind of goes hand in hand. And it can be really understanding for some of the time that it requires some level of promotion. And if this can be done in the right way it can be earning good. I have not much tried it. So that;s another thing to consider. I may try this and let others know if that works out.

My first question is the reason why you have created the email list. It is silly if you just include that in your website for subscribers and you have no purpose for it. Anyway, it is called a happy problem because an email list of 3,000 is an asset that you can use for earning money. I guess you just have to identify your subscribers on what interest they have and their attractions to a particular niche.

If you can't sell something directly to email subscribers best to actually change your strategies. Use the email to persuade those who open it to visit your site. The content posted on your site should do the selling for you. Not that you should try to use each article to sell something but a strong hint would work just fine.
