PewDiePie makes $15 million per year on YouTube. - Has complaints!

Have you ever heard of PewDiePie?

Two weeks ago, he made a promise. He said that he would delete his channel if he reached 50,000,000 subscribers. - That's 50 million. 50 MILLION PEOPLE!

However, it was covered all over. Everyone talked about it. - Here's his "DELETING MY CHANNEL" video.

  • Note that he has almost 51,5 million subscribers now.

However, PewDiePie also shared his complaints recently, about YouTube. He complained about traffic and that YouTube made some changes to their traffic and algorithms. - That being said, he earn $15 million per year, and still do this..

PewDiePie claims this to be the death of several channels. Do you agree or has everything he's said and done recently, been some sort of "joke" to gain even more subscribers?

I am not an expert with YouTube but making $15 Million off YouTube is just crazy. I doubt an algorithm change will cause death to good channels and it will probably just kill off the less competitive channels leaving only the best to make good money. This is just how things work and only the best of the best can stay. I don't know if this is just some sort of joke but either way, I do agree that the algorithm changes have a negative impact on channels but Google always goes this kind of stuff and it is unavoidable, instead, you should just try to adapt with the changes.

Yeah, I don't know.. All of this just seems fake and like pure BS to me actually. I mean, if you're making $15 million per year, would you even say something stupid like "I'm going to delete my channel?" - I mean, why would he? - He will still earn more than anyone else, no matter the changes they do.

My channel earnings have increased recently but I am only a small time Youtuber earning about $6 a month but I really want to get more into my videos because those few dollars are residual income. I haven't added a new video for a month or more but the money still comes in. Imagine when I have another 100 or 1000 videos?

Yes it will take time to build up income but I think it can be done nicely. Most likely most people quit when after a year they are only earning $6 a month lol.

Anyway earning $15 million is incredible! Will he really delete his channel? Seriously like OMG? I would never!

$6 ain't much Lynne, but it's a growing, passive income. I mean, you could just use Youtube to upload videos and not earn.. right? - Instead, you earn something. And that something is way better than nothing. PewDiePie makes $15 million per year on YouTube. - Has complaints!

I think his complaints are legitimate!
If for no apparent reason, his views decreased substancially, it does not matter if PewDiePie makes $15 million, he still does have the right to complain if he is a victim of injustice from Youtube.

I understand what you're saying and sure, he has the right to complain.. But seriously..? - Would you ever state something silly like "I will delete my channel" if you made $15 million per year? - Make that money during 1 year of your life and you'll never have to work again... And he's been doing this for several years already..

At one hand, some of his comments I find are legitimate if you look at it at a small Youtuber's perspective. It might be a small amount of money compared to his earnings, but if he suffers from a massive loss then how much more for a small YouTuber who barely earns anything? But I do hate how he makes such click bait titles and I hate how people always fall for it for some reason.

I'm not much into YouTube, but I must say that it's a whole lot of money that the dude has made for himself. We're hoping to see him back very soon.
