Now, since certain media, typically social media, exists it's way cheaper and easier to target advertisements to certain people. So because of this "better" advertisement opportunity the physical advertisements have almost stopped entirely, or are way less than they use to be.
Where i live there are a lot of billboard ad placements. But those billboard ads often go months without an advertisement, and when they do have an advertisement it's usually for fast food restaurants like McDonalds... Mcdonalds does a lot of physical advertising. They waste a lot of money on it, so people see their brand name while out and about. So I think these physical advertisements need to make a comeback. Perhaps it's not as effective as online advertising, but replicate what mcdonalds has and is still doing, placing their ads anywhere and everywhere they can. Well I tend to think that advertising services, businesses, or companies (which ever you prefer to call them) are ignoring "offline" advertising. Surely we still see commercials, newspaper ads, etc but do any of you remember when you were in the city, and there was nothing but advertisements everywhere? I remember going to the mall, and there would be posters on the wall, an advertisement on a trash can, on a newspaper stand, on the floor, on the ceiling.
