Problem with files being uploaded - is there a glitch or something wrong?

I have encountered a problem when I tried to submit a normal Word document to a buyer. The process to upload it seems to be normal, and it is showing as 100% Completed. However, when sending it, either through the order page or even through the message page, the file is appearing as 0B, and no content is shown. Is this a problem with the site or is it only me?

Yes good point Mike! When working as a freelancer you have to have many points of entry. What that means is when you need something done make sure you have more than one way to get it. Dropbox is great i use it all the time both on seoclerks and for personal use. I have not come across this issue yet and i believe you should report it to admin if you have not already so our wonderful team here can find the bug and eliminate it.

Please make sure you open a ticket as soon as possible.

Yes I have informed support staff by submitting a ticket. They replied that they are aware of this issue and are working to solve it. Till now, the problem persists as I have just tried to submit an order.

I wonder programmatically what the issue is. I think the system scans the .txt files to see if there is any contact information or other information that is blacklisted. I could be wrong, but if there is a system like that in place it could remove all the information and that is maybe why the .txt files are empty upon uploading.

Could you imagine all the support tickets that the support team received because of this bug. It is a crisis at this point because some buyers could think they are being scammed by receiving a blank .txt file when they should've received their order details. Oops! Thankfully, this issue is being worked on, and hopefully it gets fixed. However, I do not believe you'll be able to view the contents of the stripped .txt file because I'm unsure if the system saved the file than decided to strip the contents. Hopefully those that need to send over .txt files can do so after it's fixed, and if you want just do as idealmike said and use pastebin or dropbox, heck even use gist.github.com to send files, you can do it privately too i think, just toggle the secret gist option.

What about archives? I always submitted my orders using zip or RAR archives, made everything seem more professional. Somebody should test this if it works than SC may need to inform the buyers that they need to archive their documents before submitting the delivery, though this practice may lead to other problems, a lot of my clients, like 1 in 10 complained about the fact they were unable to open the archive because they didn't have WinRAR installed or some other reason or maybe they simply didn't know what arhived files work
