An easy way to rank for low traffic keywords

I'm sure all of us have at least one goal in common and that's to rank for our desired keywords in order to bring in some traffic, right?

Well a lot of people have a tough time ranking for some keywords that should be pretty easy to do in a short amount of time. But they aren't putting ANY time into the process and hope that a few dollars can get them the rankings they deserve. Well, that's kind of true and kind of false, you can do it with a few dollars but it does take a little bit of time invested by you.

I'll go over some basic steps on how to rank for low traffic keywords that not many people are targeting. This will also help you out in the long run when you're trying to rank for those though keywords.

Step 1: Page Setup
You can't just put up an article on one of your subpages and expect it to rank over night. It simply does not work like that anymore. You'll have to optimize the content of the article and then optimize the meta title, meta description, header tags, alt tags if there are any images, and make sure the hosting you're on is good enough to get your pages loaded quickly. After you do all of that, you're done with step 1.

Step 2: Promotion (sort of)
Go to niche related websites, blogs, and forums and post about your service. This is where it can get a little tricky because you don't want to be seen as a spammer. Don't post on other peoples posts, start your own thread or discussion and talk about your website. Some websites will ask you to pay for a thread, but usually it's not too expensive, maybe $5 to $25. The nice thing about paying for the posting is that it will be there forever. The title of the post needs to be optimized with the keyword you're targeting as well as the body of the post. If do not do this, you won't be happy later on. make sure you get a hyper link in there somewhere using the anchor as the low traffic keyword you're trying to rank for. When you do about 20 of these then you're on your way to top rankings. Proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Link Building
Now with step 2 you were building tier 1 links which aim at your money site. That's all good, but you need to boost up those links as well in order to see the real power of SEO muahahahaha! Find a service that allows you to use unlimited URLs and keywords for this to be much easier. Oh look, I found one HERE for you, and it's only $2. Go ahead an purchase that service and remember all those pages you made on the forums, blogs and websites? Well you'll need to compile those and add them into your new purchase. For your keywords, use your low traffic keyword and a variety of your urls like http://www.example.com, www.example.com and example.com this will help you with diversifying your anchors. You won't get a penalty for doing this many backlinks because you're aiming them at your second tier. If Google could penalize you for this, then what's stopping you from doing it to your competitors and ruining their rankings, right?

Step 4: Watch Your Rankings
Well this is a pretty obvious step to do since you're wanting to rank #1 for your low traffic keyword. But the beauty of this is that you can actually buy that $2 package I mentioned in step 3 for all of your high authority second tier links and you might be able to take over the entire first page for your low traffic keywords muahahaha!

I've done this plenty of times and it works very well to funnel all the traffic from your low traffic keywords. They may not get as much traffic as some keywords, but you'll be getting ALL the traffic An easy way to rank for low traffic keywords

Thanks Razzy this has really helped me to get a better understanding of how link building works. I wasn't quite sure what was meant by tier 1 and tier 2 links and now I think I understand it.

This has come at just the right time because I have just started on a mission to start building some regular links to my websites myself. Yes I will still order services because they will know very well what they are doing and I am sure will do a much better job than I can in much less time but I want to get some experience in doing some of this myself.

Hey Lynne!

Some people think of tier one as the links that are directly linked to your website while others think of tier 1 as your main money website. Usually there are more people thinking about tier 1 as your main links aimed at your pages and that's a general rule to follow An easy way to rank for low traffic keywords

The linking I was talking about above doesn't work as well for harder to rank keywords because there are more people trying to get to the coveted top 3 positions An easy way to rank for low traffic keywords

But I did say that this will help you down the road when you're trying to rank for those more difficult keywords. That's because you're doing all this work and it should build your authority which is a big factor when ranking. If you're building your authority over time by ranking for these lower difficulty keywords, when you go after the harder keywords it'll be much easier than if you started with them. Does that make sense?

I like to phrase this as you're building a house. You need to build the foundation which are the lower difficulty keywords. After you're ranking well for the lower difficulty keywords you can then put up some walls, which are the medium difficulty keywords. After you have those done you can now put on the roof which are the hardest keywords to rank for. It's easier to get the roof on if you have a solid foundation and walls, right? Build up your first tier, maybe your second tier, manually and then hit them with more links using that service I linked above An easy way to rank for low traffic keywords

Thank you very much for this short tutorials. i have really gained a lot from this. well done. as for the service gig that you posted there; it shows a seller offering upto 20,000 backlinks, trust me, that is that can really hurt a website so badly by getting a severe google ban. most of the backlinks will be low quality and spammy. even though the guy has lots of buyers but they are all ignorant about its long-term effect.

I like the idea about damaging competitors on low traffic niches. I've actually tried this a couple of times and it was really easy to get them panelized, I only invested about 100 bucks in finishing two of my competitors.

I know this may be an awful tactic but it works! You have to be careful, though, sometimes you may up their rankings and no matter what you do they won't go down, so you have to know when to stop.
As far as purchasing services like Razzy recommended, well, I'll do that for my own websites, but I will never do that to my serious clients, the risk is just too great.

Promotion is indeed important for getting traffic especially when your website is pretty new and you haven’t done with building the backlinks. My best bet in promotion is popular blogs. Post a comment that is interesting and engaging so the readers will be curious who you are so they will have the tendency to click on the backlink of your website that is indicated in the signature. But you cannot do this often in one blog, you have to scour the internet for similar blogs that are popular.
