Google Analytics announced on their blog on Friday that they have launched Automatic Insights on their Google Analytics mobile app and now what would have taken hours to discover will now be available in a matter of minutes.
From what I read and understand over 50% of online marketers are using Google Analytics and most of these users don't come close to using all the functionalities. People tend to stick to the same types of reporting. So now GA will be more like a brain and start to put the information that you most want right in front of you.
In addition to that it will become more intelligent over time, so it will give you more indepth insights into trends and anomalities so you can take advantage of opportunities that you never might have been aware of.
For example it will tell you which products are experiencing the most growth and it will also tell you the channels that are having the most conversions, and where the highest returns are....
It sounds like I need to start using more functionalities LOL

Seriously GA is very complex if you actually take the time to interpret and filter everything properly. I mean how many of you have an updated spam filter? That's right, very few!
I only recently started to develop a spam filter list because I was getting tired of using the "exclude" tool to manually exclude spam every time I was taking a look at the organic traffic. Sure it may take a couple of minutes when we are talking about just one website, but what would you do when you have 20+ websites to check? I agree, a lot of people are using Google Analytics but few actually use Google Analytics to its full potential! I don't one single person that can handle and know everything about Google Analytics and all that GA has to offer.
