I know that a lot of people want to set up private blog networks so that they can rank much higher in the search engines due to the fact they have backlinks on each of the blogs.
But have you ever thought about setting up your own blogging platform to do the same thing?
Coding everything from scratch would be a pain in the butt, that's for sure. But there are some pretty neat things out there that you can use and set up your own platform in a pretty quick timeframe.
Ever heard of wpmudev.org? If you haven't, I highly suggest you go check them out. They have a ton of awesome plugins that you can have access to for a small monthly fee. They offer a free trial to see if you really like what they have to offer, if you don't like it just cancel The true beauty of wpmudev.org is that they will let you keep any of the plugins if you download them and cancel your subscription to their website. Pretty cool, right?
Now that you know about wpmudev.org, you need to know about 2 plugins of theirs that can make you look like a super guru professional marketing extraordinaire lol
The first plugin is their Pro Sites plugin that will basically duplicate the system used by wordpress, on wordpress, but let it look like it's your own system

The second plugin that you will need is the branding plugin they offer. This will remove any wordpress branding from the login to the log out of the user. The entire dashboard will be covered in your logos and nothing will mention wordpress at all this plugin is crutial because you'll want to show people that it is YOUR platform and not wordpress. Sure there will be people who know the difference, but you'll want to keep the ones who don't

This has already proven to be successful for some niches. Wpmudev.org owns edublogs.org and they have over 3,000,000 blogs on their network

I am a novice here in this regard because I have only ever used Wordpress. I love it and I enjoy using it.
I can't see how coding my own website would be beneficial to me at all, it would just make the job completely impossible to complete. Yes I can write some very basic html but that is it. Hi Razzy.
