Is a Apple Watch a good buy?

I have been loving my iPhone lately let me start of by saying that much, I have looked I a little more into something I been hearing about. A friend of mind has just bought an Apple Watch, now I'm not too familiar with the watch it self but I have hear a couple good things about it you can use it to write emails, with the watch connected your notifications won't alert you phone your wrist will vibrate. You don't even need an iPhone it can run off wifi you can request ubers with it etc. I want to know if anybody is more experienced with it are there more things I should keep
in mind as I think about making this a future purchase ?

I personally have never owned the Apple watch. I don't even like wearing watches lol.

I think the only reason it was so popular is because Apply hyped it up so much that all the Appletards wanted one. Yes, I said Appletards lol.

My friend gets everything Apple. He's got an iPhone, iPod, iPad, apple head phones, various other things I've never heard of, and that damn watch. Now he's pretty tech savvy and knows what he's looking for in a watch and laptop, so he knew exactly what he was getting. But after about a month of owning the watch he said that he wanted to sell it. He paid a ridiculous amount for it but couldn't even get 75% of what he paid for it, because anyone who wanted one already bought it when it was released. Not many people are buying those watches because they were more of a fad and fizzled out pretty quick.

I think Apple only launched the watch because they wanted to be cutting edge with new gadgets and gizmos that their competitors didn't have out yet. And in any good business that's what you want and if you do it first, you can charge a ludicrous amount lol.

At the end of the day it's just a watch and you can do all the same stuff from your cell phone, which I'm sure you have since almost everyone does Is a Apple Watch a good buy?

Appletards? Hahaha that is classic.

I gave you a thumbs up on your comment to rectify that little thumbs down that you had before I got here, most likely slapped on you by a big time Appletard!

Yes I think some people just want the latest Apple gizzmo and it doesn't matter what it costs or whether it is very useful or not... because you know the person can say and show that they are a big time Appletard that has the "latest and greatest Apple product"...

I have no interest in brand names, or looking cool so I have no need for an Apple watch. I am no Appletard.

I guess some people that love new technology will really love this but I won't. I can barely type a text with my Smartphone because of the small screen and the touch screen. I keep making a mess of things. How on earth would you write an email on an Apple watch?

This is not going to be for me, plus sometimes I don't want my phone with me all time, I certainly won't want an Apple watch where people can contact me all the time.

I had an iphone and I wasn't too impressed. I find Android far better from all perspectives. But I won't get into that right now.

I'm planning on buying a smart watch for a while now, an Android based one because I use Android. If you are an Apple fanboy it makes sense to go for an Apple watch. Don't get me wrong, we're talking about brilliant technologies here, and I'm sure if you love Apple, you'll find the Apple watch hugely practical and cool.

I personally would not make much use of it because as long as I have the mobile with me it's enough, and besides I do not like to wear watches. I think it would be practical for those who cannot stick to their mobile most of the time, such as at work. I also think it is quite expensive, so I would definitely not want to spend all that money when its capabilities can be simulated with the iphone. I agree with Razzy that some people seem to stick to one brand and want to buy every device that brand produces. So such people will definitely buy the watch.
