Promote your website/product/service on Twitch. Have you ever done it?

Hey guys,
Most of you probably heard of Twitch more than once, so I won't give you any details about what Twitch is or anything like that. I'll get right to it.

As you can find literally hundreds or even thousands of streamers on Twitch with A LOT of viewers & subscribers.. Have you ever donated to a streamer? And have you done that to promote your service, website, product or anything else?

Have you used this platform for advertising?

For instance, if you have a product that related to let's say CSGO. Why not donate a few bucks to a streamer with thousands of viewers, so he'll read your message, AND your message will also show on the screen.. What do you think? Do you think it could be a good way to promote things?

Best Regards,

Twitch is getting bigger and bigger each year since these pro gamers are sending their followers there to watch them play. It's insane how many viewers someone can get at one time by just playing a game. I know I've followed a few people on twitch and sometimes when I was watching them play they would have 1,000 to 3,000 viewers watching their every move.

I actually want to start streaming myself and see what kind of following I can obtain. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but when I like a game, I get pretty good at it. Currently I'm playing Destiny on PS3 and now PS4, and I'm pretty good at all the PvE and even better at PvP. I was ranked a top 10,000 player plenty of times, my highest was 2,000. Being ranked this high just tells me that if I were able to dedicate my time into this I could achieve a lot more than an average player who plays here and there.

I do have a profile on twitch right now, but I'm just a lurker. I usually watch when I'm at the gym and I see these popular streamers getting a ridiculous amount of donations. I follow a couple destiny streamers and they don't even have close to as many followers as popular gamers on starcraft, warcraft, league of legends, etc. I saw a league of legends streamer that had over 10,000 live viewers at once. If they destiny streamer with 1,000 to 3,000 was making $500 a day, how much do you think the league of legends player was making with 10,000+ viewers?

I've never donated, but there are people out there that do. I don't think I would ever do it to get my name out there, but it is a smart move to do it if you are in the niche and you want the streamer to broadcast your name (hopefully your website Promote your website/product/service on Twitch. That's interesting. I think it is an innovative opportunity for anyone who is into the gaming market. Twitch seems to be quite popular in that context and the idea behind it is creative to say the least. but evidently it needs to be something related with gaming to make sure that it draws attention.

yeah, you'll have to donate strategically. You'll need to watch a persons stream prior to just throwing money at them. You'll be watching them to see if the streamer actually says the persons username or if they just give the generic "Thanks!"

If they read out the donators username then you can donate with more ease because they will be saying "Thanks for the donation example.com!"

A lot of streamers will say thank you to every donator, whether it's $1 or $100 Promote your website/product/service on Twitch. Have you ever done it? So you could actually donate multiple times throughout the day and still be under $10. The only downside is that it's instant marketing and you have to hope people will type your domain name into the address bar and search for you. You'll need to make your domain name instantly understandable when someone says it. So no using - in your domains because people won't type those in lol.

Sure it needs to be as simple as possible so that whoever hears it will either remember it to check it out as soon as he is online, or else ideally visit the site immediately. Do they go into any further detail about donators, so as to make it more effective as an advert?

Personally I don't sell anything related to the gaming niche. So the chance of me advertising via Twitch is really low. I love the concept of being able to watch gamers play games in real time, however for me and the advertising aspect it doesn't seem plausible. Now, if I were to have a product such as a game and needed players to test then it'll be great to advertise on there.

There are so many Twitch users that have amassed quite a following so if you do sell gaming products related to the gaming niche, then I would definitely seek out a way to form a business relationship with the gamers.

I'll be honest here I am not into gaming and I can't wrap my head around the fact that watching people play games is so popular. I get why someone would want to play a game...

I am not in the gaming industry and it doesn't appeal to me so no, I wouldn't be interested in donating or advertising via Twitch.

I had never heard of Twitch. I did a quick research and discovered that Twitch is a subsidiary of Amazon and was launched in 2011. My research told me that Twitch is a video streaming platform. Now, I will have to do more research and find out how can I advertise on the site and how will I benefit from advertising.
