What are the meaning of strange dreams?

This past few nights I have been dreaming some strange dreams, one involving being chased by a mad dog. I don't know what it means as my own dog is very docile and would never do such a thing. I am worried now that these dreams could have ulterior meaning. I need help deciphering dreams or understanding why I might be having strange dreams.

Also if you want tell me about any strange dreams you might be having. Maybe it will help knowing that others are suffering from this too.

Dreams are not always literal. And, a barking or mad dog does not always refer to a dog. Maybe there is some kind of stress or anger situation in your life that you need to confront but have been ignoring. Maybe this is your psyche's way of confronting you and telling you to pay attention.

Not every single element of your dream has an unconscious meaning. Sometimes, it's just background noise.
Obviously dreams are very personal and their meaning is mainly relevant to the dreamer. But what does it mean when you have these vivid/strange dreams? Apparently your subconscious is trying to tell you something. Your Higher Self also speaks to you through dreams. Such bold visions during your sleep are meant to both teach and activate you as a being.

These intense dreams are designed to get your attention. After all if they weren’t bold and vivid/strange, you would probably forget about them. Even if you don’t recall these strange and intense dreams, that’s okay. The fact that you are having them indicates something is stirring deep within.

In most of the time you see dreams what you are thinking. Sometimes you may see quite strange dreams also, I would ignore those. What do you think?

Dream is not a true matter. It saws the abaddon. So I don't like it. But Prophet's dream is true. I believe it.

Strange dreams basically means something about hidden things in subconsciousness. It is going to tell us what things we are doing and what can we do to manage it. I have found that strange dreams have their place. It is meant to wake us up from some of the issues in our life. That is for sure. I think some people have to live with odd stuff and that manifests in dream.

It cannot be interpreted by yourself because you can change the meaning, you can ask some psychologist, but those studies take a lot of time because they have to know you a little more and you have to tell a lot of your life to interpret your dreams, but some estrange dreams are only a crazy creation of your brain.

For me, dreams do not really mean anything unless it's not a dream at all. A good example is back then, my great grandfather passed away. He loved my two sisters so much, and at the time my family was financially unstable and my stepfather had worked as a fisherman. About a few months after he passed, my sister told my mother that she dreamt of my great grandfather, staring at my stepfather. He was just there, staring at him and my sister dreamt in the third person. My stepfather dreamt of the same thing, but this time he dreamt it in the first person point of view, whereas my diseased grandfather was just staring at him.

Interesting blog. I remember having written some of the blog posts on the hubpages. And those dream interpretations still get some traffic. You can see that it may be different for each one in terms of interpretation. It's definitely good to write about those things and from that we can learn a lot of interesting things as well.

As Christians, when we have such dreams, all we do is to pray against its manifestation and believe that the God we serve will take care of everything. I don't have fears as long as my God lives.

I am not a dream reader or anything but my take in dreams is that it is the making of our brain when we are on the subconscious state like sleeping. The subconscious mind takes over and it decides on what to think in terms of dreaming. But it is proven that when you have physical ailments when you sleep you tend to have a nightmare. I guess that dog chasing you is a kind of nightmare.
