Are there such things as "sponsored" webhosts?

Now, I know this may seem a little far-fetched and stupid but I was just curious.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm only 15 and getting enough money to host my stuff can often get too much, hence why I have resulted in using free hosting (sucks I know) which has a fair few limitations.

I was just wondering if webhosts would "sponsor" if you could call it that, certain people. For example, my person portfolio hosts all of my previous work and says a lot about me etc so if I were to get sponsored I would leave credits on my site (whether this be a banner or notice etc)

Am I being stupid or?

You could ask a more well established webmaster or forum owner to help you out by covering or sponsoring your host costs. If you presented the situation to them and let them know you are a struggling student who is just looking for a foot into the door, they might have mercy and help you out.

Thanks, I'll give this a look. It seems pretty nice on space, only thing is it doesn't offer cPanel but I guess that's okay for a portfolio.
