Most times, I keep a notepad of domain names that I'm thinking about using. And, I write down ideas for ways that I could use these domain names. Sometimes, it takes a week to come up with a good domain name, other times much longer. But, I'm always prepared when the money is right and I can buy a domain name. I'm never stuck on what to call a site as I keep very detailed notes of domain names that I like.

I don't spend more than a week thinking up a new domain name. Otherwise, I will simply get bored with the site idea and move on. If the niche is really hot, you have to act quickly and not let opportunity slip by.

Sometimes, I'll just get a sudden idea for a domain name and buy it quickly. Those are usually the best domain names and I put a lot of work into the sites because I love the name so much.

The domains I register depends on my purpose of buying the domain. If I want a domain for a flipping purpose, I will try to find a domain with commercial value. However, if I am getting a domain for a business, I will check the domains on that niche. I spend a lot of time researching on domain. First I make a list of the possible names for a domain that I want, I do a keyword research and then check the domains whether they are available or not.
