What if someone posted your private video on Youtube?

Let's say you have a video that you shared with a friend of a private event or moment. And, this video was not intended for anyone but the person you sent it to. And, that person downloaded the video and uploaded to Youtube.

Could you ask Youtube to remove the video? What would be your options?

Report the video and explain the situation. Youtube videos have been taken down for far less offense than this. You need to stand up for what is yours and not let others get away with stealing it.

There was a case where a celebrity requested Youtube to remove a private video posted by another person. The celebrity brought his phone to a shop for repair. Unknown to him, the technician copied his gallery and later on posted one of his private video. Fortunately, it’s not a sex video or compromising but just with some intimate scenes. I think the channel was banned by Youtube. My question for this topic is this – how did your private video went into the hands of other people?
