Did you know that once Facebook was known as TheFacebook.com? The name was taken from the book passed out to college students and used by Facebook found Mark Zuckerberg, most likely to appeal to his fellow Harvard classmates whom the site was targeted to. The site became so popular in the first few months and was later opened to students of other colleges.
And, if you try to access this domain, it still goes to the main Facebook homepage. So apparently they still own the domain and likely will never give it up.
