With some link wheels not all the sites link directly back to your site, but instead link to each other, with one Web 2.0 site (that is being linked to by the others), then linking back to your money site.
All this is done to ensure a natural looking (organic) backlink pattern so that Google doesn't discount the backlinks as being spammy. A link wheel is the practice of linking Web 2.0 sites together in a way so as to support (or backlink) to your money site. There are various methods of doing a link wheel, not all are the same. With some link wheels not all the sites link directly back to your site, but instead link to each other, with one Web 2.0 site (that is being linked to by the others), then linking back to your money site. All this is done to ensure a natural looking (organic) backlink pattern so that Google doesn't discount the backlinks as being spammy.
