It really depends what your topics are. If it's an informal, technical type article which might be teaching someone how to do something.. or explaining how something works. Then your best bet is to use lots of pictures, lots of bullet points and really, really simple language. People are majorly put off by walls of text in this scenario.

If you're writing news articles, then focus on speculation. Ask lots of "what if" and "how does/could this affect"

And make sure you read hell lot,there's no better way than doing this way

With regards to the body of the article - always write for the reader and not for SEO, even if the article is going to be used for SEO purposes. Do not fill the article with fluff to try and get the word count up and never stuff it with keywords. Do not write the article to fit the keywords, write the article naturally about the topic of the keywords and you will find it easier to fit them in naturally at the end.

Imagine being the people reading your article and try to think what they will be getting with regards to value from the article.

The tone you use on your articles will obviously change depending on what the article is for. A blog will have to be in a friendly and conversational tone whilst something more technical will obviously have to be written with a professional and technical tone.

Always come up with a catchy title! This is where you will first attract your reader - you always want to make a good first impression.

Now onto the formatting aspect.

Sentences should never be more than two lines - try reading your sentences out loud (if you struggle for breath by the time you finish them, they are too long).
Your paragraphs should also be small and be no more than four/five lines. Nobody likes to try and read a big wall of text as it can be easy to get lost.
Always use sub-titles to break up the body as well as this makes the article easier to read and allows people to search out the sections that they are most interested in reading.
Finally, always write a summary of what was written in the article at the bottom to finish it off.
If it helps the article and the value that it gives the readers - Use bullet points (much like I have here)

Use these as guidelines and you will certainly improve as a writer!
