Do you need a quiet environment to work in?

I can't do any work in a very noisy environment. And, actually I had a job in a very busy office and all the noise made it difficult to do any work. I'm glad that I'm working at home now. I can make things as quiet as I want for my job.

It just depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I like having company while I'm working and will turn on the TV just to have background noise. Other times, i get way more work done if I'm alone.

If I have a deadline and want to concentrate, then I will shut myself in my room. In this way I can finish any work that Ineed without interruption.

If you're working in a store or office, it will be more useful to have music playing in the background all the time. In that way, you can keep your mind busy and active as you are doing boring work. If you are doing highly creative work, such as writing, you might consider a quieter environment so you can concentrate.

I'm working in a quiet room now and it's a combination of boring and lonely. I want to take the day off and go do other things. But I am finishing up some work so that I can take Saturday off to be with my sweetheart.

I'm more musically inclined, so I make more noise than anything. Maybe others who are working would want to go to the other room if I'm playing guitar. Though I think that my playing is very relaxing Do you need a quiet environment to work in?

In our office, silence is a must because our boss is strict with decorum. In fairness, a noisy office can really interfere with concentration on the work. At home, it is deathly quiet when I am on the computer. They all know that I cannot work well when there is noise. No radio, no tv, no.... barking dogs huh. That's my nemesis.
