The fact that I pretty much do not have a choice in the matter so I just buckle down and do it.

My daughter is my biggest motivation to keep working. On some days when I feel too sick to move I still work. On those days, I will usually jsut lie down and work. And, that's possible to do as I work at home on the computer. I'm still getting my job done so that's all that matters.

i will do it because:
- i will feel better i finished the job
- i will say myself, "i want to do it" instead of "what a waste of time, i dont want to do it"

For one, I love what I do, and for two, I have a little three year old running around that needs supported. I tend to work a home about 14 hours a day with breaks to play with my kid. Those breaks keep me energized and ready to go.

It's very inspiring to read how you have made the work at home solution work for you so well, being a parent. I hope more parents are able to make this dream a reality too.

Just tell myself that it must get done and the sooner it gets done the faster I can do what I want.

This gonna make me cry. Parents. K, that's it.

It's good to have an external source of motivation to keep you going when you just don't feel like working or want to quit.

Unless I am feeling so ill that I cannot get out of bed without passing out, then I will simply take a shower and eat a light meal and put on some music and get back to work. These things make my body feel better so that it cooperates with my mind and lets me get my work done. This could be useful for you when you don't feel like working.

I understand! I work part time in healthcare, plus I freelance. If it wasn't for freelancing, I would have no other choice but to pick up shifts at the hospital, therefore lose time with my soon to be five year old son. It's a hard balance sometimes, or at least I find it to be, because my son LOVES to play for long chunks of time, so it makes it difficult to juggle the two.

Honestly, this has been a study of mine. I used to feel tired and unmotivated all of the time. I changed my diet, started meditating, and listening to binaural beats, mostly that increase concentration and memory. Sometimes I try out binaural beats for attracting money. You'd be surprised at how powerful this stuff is. YOu may think that it has nothing to do with your diet, but change your diet and see how effective it is.

Every morning I get up, eat, shower, meditate 30 mins, binaural beats 30 mins, and then it's coffee time. I love coffee How do you motivate yourself? With ingesting the right elements this is a sure fire energy and motivation booster. The coffee isn't that healthy, but it's organic How do you motivate yourself?

Understand that it starts with your diet. The more vegetables and fruit you eat (little portions of fruit because the sugars will feed parasites) the more energy you will have. Lots of water has great benefits too! Try to stay away from GMOs, artificial sweeteners, impurities from plastic, and SUGAR. Sugar is the worst. This is includes anything white. Breads, pasta, rice, etc....... The body turns it all into sugar. There is an array of problems this causes that I am not going to list, just do the research.

Either way, I have been doing this for 3 years. I havent had so much as a sniffle, no sickness, and more energy then I have ever experienced in my life. Sometimes I skip a night of sleep because I have so much energy, when I used to sleep 10 hrs and still want to lay around. All because of the crap I ingested and the lack of water I was drinking. Just try it for a week. Minimal sugar, paleo diet or veggie/vegan, meditate, and binaural beats. I guarantee you will notice a difference in your work ethic. The hardest part is just doing it.

I forgot to mention, 90% of people have parasites. I detoxed myself from parasites (organic supplement from vitamin shoppe) and that did wonders for my energy. If you have tons of energy, how can you not be motivated?

Money motivates me, along with the essentials it buys, like food, shelter and clothing. How do you motivate yourself?

Sometimes, just getting up and moving around will make you feel better, rather than laying there feeling in pain. This morning I was in pain and got up to tend to my family and house and now I feel fine. I'm always achy or sore when I wake up and if I stayed in bed all day because of it then nothing would get done.

I don't rush into my day but begin with gentle stretches and yoga and even a warm shower. I ease my body into the day so that I can fully wake up and don't require myself to go from sleep to wide awake in a few minutes as many do. This helps me get ready to perform work at my best.

I just think that it is money coming in and if I don't do the work, then I don't get paid.

I just push myself and get it done. I just have it instilled in me that I will get it done before the deadlines.

Don't push back your bedtime just to finish a job. If you go to bed on time or early then you can get up early and finish the work very quickly that would have taken hours to complete if you had stayed up late.

I find this to be troublesome, because when I have a good train of thought going, I cannot seem to stop it. If I do, then either:

A) I can't sleep and I obsess ALL night (not exaggerations here, complete honesty! lol)
B) I fall asleep after hours of thinking, then wake up in the morning not remembering a thing, then obsess over trying to remember by reading my saved work over and over again.
C) Frantically write down copious amounts of notes to ensure I am reminded of the day ahead of me, only to wake up and not make out a single thing I've written down, or I can't make sense out of my gibbering mind...lololol

There you have it folks...lol
I'm OCD... But, it seems to work for me... Most times...lol

The best motivation for me is my financial independance. I can spend my hard earned money on whatever I like. I can make nice gifts for my family members and not focus on price. Besides, without any occupation, I feel useless.

Lethargy is my usual enemy during weekends. Maybe because mybody knows that I have no work in the office, it would lock me to bed. And since I have my online work so I would force myself to rise. Hot choco is my wake upper and sometimes coffee even if I am not a coffee drinker. But hot choco or not, I would be motivated by thinking that my online work is my training for my future full time freelancing.

It could be a comment from a friend or family member mentioning about not seeing me working that could prompt me to work. I think we shouldn't indulge so much in work unless we want to be robots. Feeling tired or the body longing for rest is really normal and we shouldn't force ourselves to work since we will end up being less productive. I always take a break and spend my time doing something else like talking or chatting with someone until I get into the mood to work again.
