How well do you listen to your customers?

One of the best ways to make a customer feel special is by simply listening to them and asking for their opinion.

Ask your regular customers what they really want and then providing it to them is a good way to ensure loyalty. Sometimes just being able to voice an opinion in a situation is a real reward. And, it won't cost you anything to listen.

If a customer asks for something specific from me, such as a particular subject to be covered on their site or gives directions, then I am sure to follow. It's good to listen to your customers so you can provide the results they expect.

Listening to your customer isn't just a good reward, it's also essential as it ensures that your customer will have no complaints later. If your customer tells you to write only articles about dog care and you branch out into general pet care subjects, then later they will likely have complaints as you have not followed instructions.

I always ask for feedback from my blog readers and take their advice on things I should be writing about. And, I'm sure this would be the same if I were selling an article or blog post to someone. If they are paying, then I will listen.

I love having constant communication with my clients, as it provides me with all of the information I need to produce a great article. Without communication and direction, I'm left hanging and unsure if my writing will be up to their expectations.

I feel that when you listen to your customers, you are doing yourself a favor. That is where your paycheck is coming from.

And, the customer can be your worst enemy especially if they don't feel you are listening or following directions. A good customer tries to help you, but some are not in the mood to explain everything so you just have to go with how that specific person is and try to fill in the blanks when needed.

I want the customer to be happy so I will listen to their advice on how to do the job as they know what's best for their own site.
