So I need a good solid VPS. Want to start my SEOclerks affiliate stores. I have 2 scripts and 2 EMDs for keyword phrases getting 30,000 monthlies and all $1.00+ CPC low comp.
Problem is, as a noob, who do you think I am hosted with now? Ipage.
So before I started installing scripts I knew I had to switch hosting providers. Began my research (for the last month) and finally came to the conclusion that ultimately I will need a VPS.
Does anyone know a solid provider with a good price. I can start off minimal and upgrade. Looking to spend no more then $20 a month.
PS: Needs to allow adult content Thats in the future after I get all my affiliate stuff goin' for SEOclerks.
Thanks in advance!
I have to ask why you feel you need a VPS at all. It wouldn't be for the affiliate stores because most of the bandwidth is pulled from SEOclerks, as all the scripts I've seen grab the pics from here. All the affiliate store scripts sold in the marketplace here are just holder templates pulling the SC feed and images, so they don't really have any "content" as such on their own.
Even if you got all 30000 monthly visits in one day on a shared server it would still be fine. I've had 51000 in 2 hours and never crashed, as it goes more by database queries than bandwidth these days. It was only until my main site hit a million visits a month that I was asked by the host to upgrade to a larger account from my shared one.
An average VPS will run you around 50+ bucks a month, but I strongly suggest using a decent shared host first and use the extra money saved towards good advertising.
Good luck!

Reading all the VPS provider names in the conversation makes me dizzy. Hostgator & GoDaddy are good when you are just crawling up the web. Once you get mainstream in they suck, real bad !
I have been hosting my & my client's apps on Digital Ocean. Once sites go serious there is Media Temple & LinodeVPS. The industry standard for VPS hosting... !
Tip : Get a $5 VPS from digitalocean.com . Perfect to start for & you get two months free too on that link.

I thought cloud and VPS were different. Whats an SSD cloud? I've been studying and trying to see how difficult it is to run and manage a Windows VPS because I heard Linux maybe difficult for a noob. What is the cloud SSD? I am really in the dark when it cmes to all of this hosting stuff. I just barely started understanding what they are.
