How often should I be publishing a blog post?

I don't want to publish a blog post everyday, it just seems like a needless waste of time, especially when I'm not earning from my blog. Is there a minimum number of times I should be publishing anyway?

Publishing on a blog daily won't always result in more traffic, however it won't hurt your blog either. If you only have time or energy to publish once in awhile, then that's what you should do.

If you have at least one post a week or month, your blog might still be active. And, there's a difference between publishing relevant news periodically and publishing irrelevant news daily. If you have something worth saying, then say it. You don't need to publish all the time just to meet some imaginary post goal.

You need to get your site visitors accustomed to seeing your blog post on a certain day and then always pubish then. That way, they will always know when to visit. If your site visitors know your blog posts are always published on Tuesday and Thursday, then that's when you will likely get most of your traffic (with the rest of traffic coming from residual search engine and social media sources).

Another option would be to write up five or ten blog posts ahead of time, save them to draft on your Wordpress and then publish one of the articles when you need new content.

It depends on what your blog is about. If it's not about daily news that need to be published, you don't have to post daily.

The most important is, that you have some regularity. If you post in one week 5 times and then nothing for three weeks, your visitors may think your blog is dead. So just decide for some constancy - daily, weekly, 3 times weekly, every two weeks - whatever is good for you and promoting the best your content

You don't need to publish on your blog every day in order to have a successful blog. Even if you published once or twice a week, you would be far better off than publishing only once a month.

A few a week would be a good place to start. You can always add more as the blog becomes more popular.

You need to be adding fresh content from time to time to get others engaged. I would suggest that you add one new post every 2 days.

There is not a minimum as you can do it whenever you want. I would suggest two or three times a week if you like.

Focus on quality , not on quantity.

If your content is useful and unique, you will definitely get lot of traffic organically .

Controversial topics are always loved by people .

And don't forget to share your blog post on social media sites .

I would not keep going to a blog that only got updated once a month. If the blogger doesn't care enough about providing fresh, relevant information to the reader at least once a day, then they should consider picking a topic they like better.

Go with how your heart leads you on this one.

If you feel like you are doing a good service to the blog reader by publishing once a day, then do so.

If it feels burdensome to post more than once a week, then go with that.

Your current blog visitors (the ones that keep coming back), will want to see new content at least once a week, or they will just stop visiting your blog. After all, if you're not publishing something new to read, why should they come back?

Maybe this is true for a real blog, such as one where you are trying to post topical subjects on a timely basis.
However, many Adsense blogs are only updated once a month or so, once the initial content is published.

I like publishing daily and recommend this method, however it might not be as important for everyone blogging to do so.

I like to publish daily but that is not feasible for everyone. I would say that you should do it at least 2 to 3 times per week.

It depends on your traffic source and readership. If search engines are your primary source of traffic, then it does not really matter whether you publish every day or once a month. Search engine traffic is generated through the searh hits. Search engine sends traffic if the search hits matches keywords on your title and body. However, if you get traffic from social media, you should publish at least once a week. Since you are sharing on slocial media, you need fresh contents every time you want to share. If the traffic comes from your subscribers, it is also important to publish regulalry.

I think the best bet is always getting a good amount of traffic before one think of monetizing a blog, so don't look at it as a waste because it isn't at all.Having written that I think publishing an article daily will go a long way to keep your readers glued to your blog, because personally,I always check out my favorite blog every day for an update, so keeping them for a long time can discourage your users, so at least an article daily is good enough.

It depends on your readers and on your niche. For a blog about celebrities, it will be like a fan-based blog for your readers so probably you need to post at least once a day otherwise your readers may leave your blog. But if the niche of your blog is not current like if it is about flowers or homes then once or twice a week will do. But then again, it would depend on your readers. If they want more then you should be posting more often just to satisfy your readers because they are the lifeblood of your blog.

There is no hard and fast rule. Publish as often as you can. You know your own work schedule and you know how to work at your pace to achieve the most productivity.

Another thing is don't focus too much on how often but DO FOCUS ON QUALITY CONTENT. You could publish a post every day but if it's rubbish or gibberish or not something people want to read then you are just spinning your wheels for nothing.

Also, don't forget to share. Don't assume your writing is so good that people will find you and flock to you. It doesn't happen. You have to put yourself out there.
