How many blog posts should I be making daily?

I love posting to my blog a couple times per week as this fits my schedule. But, recently I've been reading other blogs that are updated at least once daily. Some of these blogs even have numerous daily posts. And, all the blogs that have daily posts rank well. I would like to have my blog ranking better in Google Search too and wonder if more daily posts would help with that. Should I be posting more? Would this help SEO?

Why don't you ask your blog readers how many blog posts they want to see?

We can't really know what they will say. For instance, if your blog is about fishing, then your readers might only want an occasional indepth article. But, if your blog is about celebrity gossip, then they might demand hourly blog updates so as to keep up with the latest news.

I would have to say a couple per week would be good but I agree with Persia as well. See what readers are interested in.

Write as often as you feel inspired. You don't have to write on a regular schedule. Though your blog readers might actually prefer if you do.

I personally post only twice a week but however I make sure that I post quality articles. I also write journal articles and I do some online works. Those keep me busy and I can't post on my blog daily. At times I am also short of ideas and I have to think about what to write on my blog.

It is definitely a plus to post daily on your blogsite. Mostbloggers don’t do a daily update due to lack of time. However, you have to make sure that you have a lot of readers already and that your table of contents is easy to navigate. Another thing to look at is if you are getting a good number of views for your blogs. What’s the point in posting when there are no readers huh. That would be a waste of time.

I think you should write according to how you feel per day.You could be told 5 and you can't be inspired to write that much what would you do.So for me I know I have to update my blog daily so I write at least an article daily but if I'm in the mood I could go for 2-3.So assess your writing ability and see how far you can go with writing articles daily.

I agree with your stand on writing that you should write only when you are in the mood otherwise the resulting article will not be good. I admire your propensity to produce a blog each day. I had been a co-blogger before and I could submit 1 blog in a week although I could write more when I am in a good mood to write about my passion.

In my experience as a blogger 1 or 2 posts daily is good enough to establish activity on my site. What I do is I prepare lots of content of different lengths whenever I have time and save it, and post it whenever I don't have time to make one. In this way I would use my extra content daily.
