    Do you use a third party email system for your forum?

    Do you use the built in email system for your host/forum or do you use a third party email company to mail out your forum newsletter/notices?

    Do you mean would I use something like Gmail? And, may so, assuming I wanted the extra work involved with importing them into my address book online.

    Your forum software will have a way to email all members automatically, even narrowing down the emails to specific groups, such as only very active members. This is a good way to get traffic back to your forum.
