Earlier, I was reading an article on Hubspot about 'beginner SEO questions' and they linked to an ebook for "17 SEO MYTHS YOU SHOULD LEAVE BEHIND IN 2014" (hyperlinked as modern rules of SEO question #16). So obviously, this SEO Guide was published a few years back. And, it made me wonder why a big name SEO expert like Hubspot wouldn't update the hyperlink to the more relevant 2016 guide. Ironically, they were serving up a 2016 guide banner at the bottom of the same page.
Is there a valid reason not to update outgoing links as time goes on? Not just to get rid of broken links but to link to more update to date resources/tools/guides.

Thanks
Centurion All of the links are working and valid still now. There have a download option at 17 SEO myths ..... link. You have to full fill all of the fields to download the free book . I think the strategies of 2015 and 2016 about this SEO book was same. For that reason they didn't updated that. Thanks Centurion
