I know that graphic designers earn so much but let it be known that the said job is reserved only for the artist. I have to admit that I have a low aptitude in arts and no matter how I learn graphic designing it will just be naught because I cannot produce something artistic in visual arts. The internet is now moving with radical innovations like the live streaming and the so called vlogging. But all those innovations require graphic designs.

From my experience with graphic designing, I have come to realize that it's one of the hot prospects that the world is witnessing now, and we simply cannot do without it because 90% of what we do on daily basis revolves around the internet and websites. So, mastering the profession of graphic design is a very lucrative job. My good friend is making a decent amount of money from being a graphic designer.

The reason that it is like this is simply because of the situation of things that we have in the world where it is kind of difficult to become very good at graphics designing. The lack of creativity in most of those that are graphics designers have been a challenge in the world of graphic design.

A big issue these days, however, is the fact that anyone who has seen a couple of online tutorials and owns a pirated copy of Photoshop, thinks that they’re a graphic designer. Because of this, the graphic design market is pretty darn saturated. A lot of clients are going to be impressed with even the most amateurish results, simply because they wouldn’t even know how to do that much in Photoshop, so people are settling for a lot less.

Just look at Fiverr, where people offer stuff like logo design for a minimum of $5. It used to be that decent designers would charge hundreds for such work. Not only is it taking work from dignified designers, but it’s flooding the market with cruddy art. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a site's logo and offered to rework it because it was so bad.

Getting into graphics design firm may require the portfolio and other details. You can build demo projects and have the slow mastery of the graphics design. I have seen how the editing the graphics type gigs can later land much better gigs. But this does not happen overnight. One has to take one gig at a time.

Finding a Graphic Design internship is going to be easiest while you are still in college, so for any potential design students who might be reading this, keep that in mind. I went to college for Graphic Design and Advertising, and we had plenty of internship programs available for aspiring graphic designers. The catch was that you had to be currently enrolled as a student at the college.

I personally didn't do any internships, because I wanted to be a freelancer right from the get-go, but I had peers who signed up for the programs. Just about everyone who signed up for the internship program received a job right out of college, so I'd definitely recommend biting the bullet and going for an internship as early as possible.

If you're aiming to be a freelancer, be prepared to bite many more bullets.

How did you start freelancing? is it homebase or in a different company? I find it hard to get started.

Freelancing online isn’t gong to be easy, especially not these days with sites like Fiverr around. With so many people willing to do work for such cheap prices, the competition is pretty stiff. I went into graphic design not wanting to be tied to anyone, so I don’t work for any agencies or anything like that.

The way I originally found work was by mainly operating in my local area. People often open small business and such around here, and naturally they need a graphic designer for fliers, logos and such. That is where I find most of my work. Online I have profiles on sites like Upwork and Elance, but given the competition, it’s a lot harder to find work there.

I think with the graphic design firm you need better designers and the developers. You can see that there comes work in small batches. And then there are times when there is no work at all. So you may have to manage the dry days. And also manage the other expenses. You can see that some of the time that may work around. And not all the time you have to focus on the small prices. Instead have to charge more as it costs a lot for graphics design work.

Yeah, one thing with having this kind of skill is that you are going to be top notch in that field. Things are not going to work that easily for you unless you are ready to ensure that it works out. I believe that there's need for those that are looking at working on graphic firms to be the best in what they do.

Fiverr seems to have a lot of people who make use of the graphic designer skills. And those who have some specific set of the requirement in that context. I'd say that graphic design skills definitely pay a good amount if one is competitive enough. Setting firm takes time but solo designer and developer can earn good money.

I admire people who have the knack for visual arts like drawing or creating graphics. When I was in college, I had many friends in the architectural department that they have shown their talent in drawing. With the digital technology, I guess it would be a big plus if you have the talent to create graphics because it can be needed in animation. The pay is good and the demand is great.

One thing with finishing school and getting a job in any profession that you did is that you are going to tick the right boxes to make it happen. I have been looking at that type of situation where people are going to make it as graphic designers after completing their training and those tips that you listed out are really great ways to get it happen as well.
